Ghostwriter is a writer who isn't being credited, and the artist who he wrote for claims, that they have written it themself. A writer is just a writer who is given credit for writing the lyric. Kanye always credits his writers, and doesn't claim that he has written the songs himself. There is nothing wrong with having writers, as long as you give credit. This song really highlights the problem that I have with so many contemporary Christian artists: they are doing exactly what you’re told *not* to do, which is preach to the choir. My Christian mom complained that it contained swear words, and I pointed out that it’s for those who AREN’T “saved”. In my opinion, I’m agnostic and care about others and don’t care about the afterlife and appeasing a God who is as best indifferent to my existence. Say what you will about Kayne West (and he has A LOT of issues), but this song didn’t do that. The failure of “Jesus Is King” is it DOES preach to the choir.

@lostsnowman1276 жыл бұрын
RC: You're biased. I am also. Song moved me too. 6/5 seems fair really - there is another consideration I am going to offer here. That Kathy Lee needed Regis, as once she was no longer there? She fell out of the cultural spotlight. Regis, like Jesus, could continue on. And not just as a handy rhyme. Kelly stepped in, but then Regis left. You even state at 6:37 that you did not know it was still going after Regis left. -Kathy Lee- *needed* Regis .. When he left, you stopped watching/being aware. Kelly became the anchor and they swapped out the men. The missing factor? Regis. How many items, once the part of them that make them dynamic and famous fade into obscurity when the 'anchor' is gone. Yes, he performed in front of Regis and Kelly, and he didn't change the lyric. Kelly *didn't need Regis* - she proved that. Kathy Lee did. Now apply that dynamic to The Person of Faith / Jesus / The Removal of Values in the reality of making money. Which then goes into the admission of "If this takes away from my spins" If I choose to have Faith then I forgo fame/money If I walk away from Jesus, there will still be money, and material gain, but not the impact that being next to Jesus gives me. Thus yes, Kathy Lee did need Regis. The same way that the song states that he needs Jesus. It's not a moldy banana, it's a bold statement that without the anchor of Faith that you'd need someone to IMDB your name for the world to know your deeds. If they were of any note in this world. Jesus, in the context of the metaphor, gives meaning and a Co-Host to life itself. Just my take on the concept. As for the hair? You look incredibly warm and friendly in this video. Before it was Professionalism/Authority/Friendly Now you're more 'Warm' as the 'Inner Light' of a 'Good Soul' kind of vibe Now off to go listen to Jesus Walks again.

Isn't the video show the second video or is it the first? Cause I remember a Jesus Walks video that had a entire story around the people he talks about all walking into a church and joining a preacher in a rendition of the song. Like a Hustler Drug dealer a stripper a hooker ect ect

7:32 you say that literally, as if ALL white Americans stood behind the idea of using the cirss for that purpose. And you say that not long after ranting about the regis and kathy Lee line you completely misunderstood.

I was gonna like the video anyway, but when you gave it six stars, it became insta like. I wish I could like this video ten times.
