I kinda disagree with jojo not being aware of how she comes across. I think it’s the complete opposite considering that she’s been in the business from a very young age and knows her way around it. I think she’s very aware of how to gain attention from the public because she’s done it many times in the past. Ppl were rightfully mad at Nicki. Her bandmates were trying to educate to her (privately) especially Leigh Anne but J*sy ofc was being ignorant. Leigh had one other friend who tanned and she still looked yt n wasn’t profiting off of it like J*sy was clearly doing.

It wasn't just about the tan though. If you watch Jesy's music video it's clear she's trying to align herself with black culture. That PLUS the tan makes it questionable. Also she said she "grew up with black culture" when interviewed about this, but the truth is she grew up in Romford which is a very white area.

No one was right in that situation Nicki could’ve said something about the situation without bringing others down and uplifting a culture vulture. Jessy could’ve admitted to her wrongs instead of trying to justify her actions and the bandmates were wrong for using that as a tactic to sell and condemning it after she left the group
