To all the people saying Jesy was or wasn't fat: that isn't the point of this. It doesn't matter what she looked/looks like, no one deserves to experience what she went through. Stop acting like being fat is the worst thing in the world that could happen to a person. Saying things like 'she shouldn't be bullied because she's beautiful' or 'she's not even fat' only reinforces the idea that it's OK for not conventionally good looking people to be bullied.

👏👏👏👏👏 absolutely. Society has always managed to find a way to control women and keep us small. We are still at a point of oppression where 'fat' is the worst thing we can say to another woman. That is why body positivity is amazing and people are reclaiming the word. We need to step into our power and lift each other up. As a former anorexic I know exactly what weight bullying can do and it's horrendous, just horrendous. If anyone bullies another person, it is without exception, because they feel like a tiny, insignificant, pathetic loser inside. And we shouldn't necessarily extend compassion to them for feeling that, but at least we can remind ourselves that it couldn't be less about us if it tried 😎✌️💥

There SHOULD BE extremely harsh punishments for this kind of thing. If you can’t do it in the “real” world then why can you do it online? This issue is so titanic. You’re punished more for traffic violations and smoking weed then driving someone to kill themselves. IMHO, if you drive someone to suicide that makes you a MURDERER. Your actions brought about the death of another human being. You might as well have pulled the trigger, tied the noose, or shoved the pills down their throat. I know that not everyone has the same thoughts, feelings, and morals that I do. It’s okay for you not to agree with someone. You don’t even have to like the things they say. What kinda person tells another person to kill themselves because they think the person is fat or ugly or stupid or whatever? WTF is wrong with people? It makes me so immensely sad that my kids are having to grow up and worry about stupid things like this. No one should ever tell someone that they don’t have the right to exist for any reason EVER. But if you really feel like you have to say something like that then don’t be a f$#@ing coward about it. Say it straight to their face. I’m trying to teach my kids that if you can’t say something to someone face to face then you shouldn’t be typing on a keyboard either.

The fact that she took time and effort to speak up about her own personal issues says a lot about the beautiful soul she has. You have no idea how many lives she could and are changing and saving by taking this huge and (I assume) uncomfortable step. Going public and reveling our issues and demons mustn’t be easy but she did it in such a beautiful way. I’m so sorry that she had to go through such hard times during what should’ve been the best years of her life. Jesy took her experience and what she’s gone through and made this beautiful documentary to raise awareness on this serious issue that may cause real damage on somebody else’s life. I’m seriously so incredibly proud of her. She now accepts herself and has come a long way and has no clue how many people - including myself - she is helping by being honest and sharing her truth. I love her endlessly.

Well, let me pose two questions to you: can you a realistic, effective solution be to "trolling"? In your opinion, do the comments in this section you deem "disgusting" constitute trolling? You're correct in so far as one person does not have a right to tell another person how to feel about what they perceive as hurtful, but therein is the crux of the issue: perceptions. Yes, words can hurt, but sometimes they only hurt if you choose to let them hurt. BTW, I have suffered bullying throughout my life as a result of my Asperger's Syndrome and being gay and am on medication for longstanding depression, but thanks to therapy I have learned coping techniques and have recognised that people will always have opinions that could upset me. But just as I recognize words can hurt, I also recognise (having a fiercely logical mind) people have a right to their opinions and I have the power to decide whether they hurt me or not. So this leads me to expand on my initial question: are you suggesting that there should be rules applied to social media that effectively mandate "if you can't say anything nice, you're not allowed to say anything at all"? If that's the case, then we will conceivably see the end of social media because any critical, detrimental or unflattering comment, even if it was a legitimate criticism, could (in theory) be classed as trolling and people would be banned in their droves. That's what I interpret your position to be and if it's about perceptions, then we will be finding trolling everywhere.

I remember watching little mix on Xfactor, and as a young girl it was so refreshing to see Jesy on stage - as much as the other girls are gorgeous and always have been, It was so important for me at that age to see someone like Jesy who looked like me and still was able to present their talent and have it valued. I’ve always looked up to Jesy, for being authentic and honest however this is going to be so helpful for so many young girls and boys to see the impact of social media and how it can affect someone’s life so drastically. Honestly this has nothing to do with whether she was fat or not. So what if she was? If she wasn't? That doesn't mean she or anyone else deserves to be treated so maliciously, causing her to suffer depression when she should have been cherishing some of the most memorable moments of her life. The only thing I see little mix as is one of the most inspirational girl bands ever; not a group of girls who have fault in many ways. Nobody is perfect; believe it or not even the most popular movie stars, singers and many others out there have an 'ideal lifestyle' but in reality everyone lacks something; whether that is not being as academic as someone prefers or, like me, a shy character whose voice is annoyingly much quieter than everyone else. No-one can do everything, but everyone can do something- and something spectacular. So don't use your energy on criticising other people, because everyone is amazing in their own way

I think it's something so great that you made this. I lost a friend of my family because of cyber bullying (she was 13 and hanged herself because she couldn't take it anymore) and I want this hell to stop. Unfortunately, she can't speak now.
