We have the old 2-stroke LS2000 that we trailer. It’s hard starting at first so I like to get both engines started first so when we get to the ramp the fire right up. It’s an advantage of these types of engines that they don’t have to have water hooked up for a quick start up. I just replaced a guys water impeller on his Onan gen because he didn’t realize it and ran it before they put our big boats in the water this spring. Broke 4 of the veins in his impeller but luckily everything was still in the housing.

I agree with the drain plug advice, however, its illegal, at least in MN to be in transit with them screwed in lol as dumb as that is. You're not supposed to put them in until you get to the launch. Dumb rules I break all day.

I didn’t realize MN has that lawn. It’s not a law here in Indiana (yet) but there are several states like that I hear. I keep our plug out until I hook it up and then plug it after hooking my chains.
