IC engine work on to and fro motion principle, it convert chemical energy into rotational energy. IC engine's weight to power ratio is more than jet engine. IC engine have too much friction. Most of its energy consume to overcome friction. Jet engine is more efficient but costly for small application. But earlier propeller on IC engine is used in aircrafts. Why? And what is history of jet engine? India is 70 year old but Indians are performing best in out side india. Why not in India? I like your comment that failure is first step of success. We as Indian come out of comfort zone. We have also taken part in WW 1 and WW 2 in british army.

But earlier propeller on IC engine is used in aircraft. Why? the jet engine came decades after the piston engine think of it this way u use 2g then 3g then 4G India is 70 years old but Indians are performing best outside India. Why not in India? WE are not great outside, we are great worker nothing else (some genius are there true but that is in every country) we see what we want to see as most of NASA is INDIA (check any documentary of actual apollo ) good luck finding INDIANS there we want to see ourself as great so we see ourself as a great thing, not the FACT we are loved because we are CHEAP LABOUR we are hard-working true but so is all of Asia(Asian including Indian are very successful in the USA )
