@bryan mendoza Compare kung fu training versus not training at all....ofc there are way better systems f.e.: BJ., Muay Thai, Box, Judo. Just because a Ferrari is faster than your car doesn't mean your car is fake....lol The real problem with martial arts is that they are not developed but cultivated. A good example is Okinawan karate - They changed it because they wanted a Japanese box. They totally rejected the holds, like grappling skills were useless.... My friend had been practicing kung fu for a few years, a group of thugs accosted us .... before anyone knew three were lying on the ground and the rest fled.
@GatAtTube4 жыл бұрын
@bryan mendoza The thing is....obviously MMA is the most consistent bare hand fighting system...ever, which doesn't mean all the rest is fake. This statment you clearly refuse to comment. Earnie Shavers said chopping wood was his best training ... says a boxer who is considered by some to be the hardest hitting boxer in history. Is chopping wood a legit martial art...hell noo. Are all the boksers beaten by Tyson in the first round bad? Some of them were masters in their State. Beating a kung fu master doesn't mean anything, they are teachers not fighters... The best voice teacher in my country is a lady who can't sing at all ... but she raised a whole generation of great singers. Li Xiadong paid a lot for what he have done, he rejected all the cultural background around kung fu, he was treated as a traitor to his own people, not very wisely on his part. He is not even a good fighter, with his record of 0 wins and 2 loses, lol. Disrespectful dude. Cus D'Amato was never even a professional boxer....and look how well he trained Tyson.
@GatAtTube4 жыл бұрын
@bryan mendoza I've already said, that MMA is the best. The point is, not all what is worse is fake...And actually yes, you can be a teacher without practising the art. For example Angelo Dundee never fought a single fight in his life....and he trained Ali...lol. According to your words its insane?

You people always relate martial arts with violence and fighting. Truth is Jet may not be the best combatant, but his real gift lies in his ability to perform an insanely wide range of kung fu styles in routines with precision and beauty. Long fist, Drunken fist, Tai Chi, Praying Mantis, weapons like the Three Section Staff, Broadsword and straight sword, etc etc. He was so good he won the gold medal at 12yo and the second place was in his 20s. With that said, he'd still kick most of our asses.
@fabricenixon77746 жыл бұрын
How is he not the "best combatant"?
@Azami00016 жыл бұрын
Carib King the problem with kung fu is that they focus too much on forms. You need to APPLY techniques through the use of hard sparring. This is something that most kung fu practioners don't do. The reason for not applying the techniques is because they believe it would be too dangerous so they just do forms/conditioning. Even with other traditional martial arts like karate or taekwondo that do have sparring is also a fallacy as a real fight doesn't have rules. This includes boxing and kickboxing as they are mostly focused on the sport of fighting. But that doesn't mean these martial arts can't be used in a real fight, it's just that it's up to you what you think can help you in a real fight and apply it rather than just believing that your style can save you. It's like thinking you're the best marksman yet you only come to the shooting range once a week. Jet li is an amazing martial artist. Same with Jackie Chan. But they will get their ass beat in a real fight . The only formidable martial artist and actor will have to be Donnie yen.
@emyyoung45304 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with you. The genuine article in regards to everything you said, who happened to get into films as a result, is Bruce Lee. The man was obsessed with combat enhancement and created a philosophy based on effectiveness, which aligns with the notion of applying what’s useful. It’s called Jeet Kune Do.

@ely41010 жыл бұрын
In both of their primes, it would be a match to witness. Aside from what we see from the action movies; Bruce Lee is philosophical and knows how to pick his battles. Jet Li carries his name, he's fast. But that doesn't dispute either their abilities.
@楊三哥10 жыл бұрын
Eleazar Sunglao In short, they're both fast. Bruce Lee is fast and Jet Li is also fast.
@ely41010 жыл бұрын
Ju Do I agree yet I feel that in terms of intuition-it's one thing be fast for the sake of speed.
@ely41010 жыл бұрын
We can make that assumption but we will never know that, will we? Bruce Lee is desceased and Jet Li isn't. How do we compare the fighting ability of both athletes that are only choreographed in movies? We would have to simulate their fighting abilities based on their martial arts backgrounds.
@SoysauceML10 жыл бұрын
Eleazar Sunglao Jet Li is no slouch, but Bruce Lee is something else completely. I'm not making fun of either, they're both great martial artists who actually did real fights. Jet Li is good, but in his movies he had lots of help such as recording in slow motion and speeding it up, wires, and so on. He is still very good and fast though, and have won a number of martial art champtionships. Bruce Lee's speed feats are just simply ridiculous. His muscle proportions and his weight and size are just... disturbing. When you see him lift something his body moves like its goo, and to be honest it scares me even now. He's movements were simply too fast that they had to slow him down so people can see his movements on TV. Bruce Lee's Direct Style is also powerful as well, though I'm guessing he doesn't really need it if he can attack people faster than they can even react. There were many demonstrations where Bruce Lee throws a fake punch and other martial artists react. Most wasn't even able to move until his punch was finished. I'm guessing Bruce Lee's speed feats mostly comes from his advanced body building methods, since his weight and muscle power are way out of proportions.
