Great to hear! This is my favorite comment to read of all time for this channel. When I started this channel I hoped people would be able to take the map, ramp information, and video and REPEAT any and all of the trips I have taken. Appreciate that comment; it is one of the MOST interesting PWC trips a person can take...never figured out why the video has not taken off! Must have been my thumbnail or video skills. A lot of things can be seen on the trip! If high tide I would take that inner creek into the island and avoid the dock where we stopped. I plan to go back to the island this year! Yes thank you.... one of the reason we choose Ocala to live here in Florida - inland and protected unless storm hits us square. So far we are doing fine... been doing lots of video editing and actual recorded a segment in my driveway for an up coming video on auxiliary gas tanks!

Awesome vid. Haven’t tried Cumberland yet. Just explored the area around Jekyll island. Fort clinch is pretty awesome. Rv park, places to hike and awesome beach where a lot of people find shark teeth. Never thought of taking the jet ski though. Living in Brunswick.

You could just come down the intercoastal waterway Robert from Brunswick and tour the island. Ill let you know when I plan to come back (launching closer)and perhaps we could meet for a tour of the island from the ocean. There is a lighthouse on the northern end.

Why wouldn’t you dock at the main Cumberland island docks again?

We had a slight wind pick up by the time w reached the island - Intercoastal waterway was slightly washing machine choppy and ever though we docked on the INSIDE of the docks we still had some wave action and no matter how well you protect your ski, dock rash is a threat. We later saw those other docks in the video on the inland water way where you could pull up with zero waves. A ranger also said you are allowed to beach a ski on any beach 100 yards away from any dock but then you have sand to contend with of course. I will try in the inland dock as it is right by the ruins next time! Thanks for watching and commenting! Bob

Yes thanks for asking. In the last 24 hours before landfall Ian moved away from us and we were spared any damage. As you know the devastation is immense and now central Florida still dealing with flooding. I will give everything a chance to recede before going out. I did spend the time editing videos and the next one will be out next Sunday.
