Jet2.com Boeing 757-200 ROARING CLOSE UP Takeoff - Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA/EGNM) with ATC

Date: 11th May 2018
Today's video is one of my favourite from my recent visit to Leeds Bradford.
With runway 14 being in use, spectacular views can be achieved of arriving aircraft right overhead and departing aircraft lining up right in front of you. This 757, powered by 2 RB-211 engines, is seen departing to Dalaman making a roar right in front of the camcorder, much to my delight!
This spot at Leeds Bradford is called 'The Cemetery', and is well known by the locals. On the day of filming, a Canadian Air Force C-17 arrived directly from Canada (see my video here: • Canadian Air Force (RC... ) bringing masses of people out to see it, definitely worth it!

Love the old 757’s and their RR engines. I’m lucky to be flying on one again in a few weeks (Jet2 LBA - PMI). They probably won’t be around for much longer so got to enjoy every minute of them we can.

Love the 757 too. Last couple of opportunities to fly in them have been with Icelandair. I remember when the aircraft was first introduced into UK fleets in the '80s
