JetBlue B6 961 flight from New York-JFK to Barbados Grantley Adams International (BGI)

I recently visited Barbados as a guest of Barbados Tourism and flew JetBlue 961 from New York's JFK.
It was an unusually windy day so it took 1.5 hours to get airborne once we left the gate as they were down to one runway and using it for takeoffs and landing.
It was a great flight with free Internet (although it only worked for about 30 minutes as you have to be within a certain distance from the U.S. mainland and we flew outside that range as we went south of the U.S. to the Caribbean), free snacks and drinks and free DirectTV as well as Live TV plus movies.
I was lucky enough to get a whole row to myself. I found it entertaining that the agents said the flight was full so people had to check their carry-ons :-). But the flight was actually quite open.
Interestingly enough though, the seat map showed full. Odd.
I was very impressed by the legroom on the plane, but for an Airbus, the aisle was quite narrow. I guess the seats are a tad wider than normal.
Music was from the local Cropover band called, Krave. They are quite amazing.

I had my days travelling back and forth to my home barbados its was fun flying on jetblue after American stop the new york /BGI. . Now I am home for good after 30 years out there living. To fly again I don't think so. Hope you had a good time here in Barbados and thanks for sharing this video brings back memories of my travel.🇧🇧🙃😊

Good news is that United airlines 737 800 my favorite airline from Trinidad 🇹🇹 POS, is flying to Grantley Adams International Airport Barbados BGI 🇧🇧 from Newark Liberty International Airport EWR USA 🇺🇸 and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines A330 from Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport AMS 🇫🇷 to Piarco International Airport Trinidad POS 🇹🇹 to Amsterdam AMS 🇫🇷✈ on Sun­days, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

I actually enjoy boarding down the stairs. You are in the Caribbean, so noting like that Caribbean sea breeze across your face or that heat when you deplane 😀. Besides, when hurricanes 🌀arrive, they love to take the jetways with them when they leave 😥

Shouldn't you be worried about your island instead of the Bajans islands. Barbados is the best Caribbean island I've ever visited. It is way more than just an airport ramp. My wife and i also visited your island, and fortunately never again. Oh nice big airport you have there.😏

@@cruisinaltitude That's an ancient way of traveling plus the insurance risk of danger along with deplane in the rain storm or hurricane. Every island has updated to international standards, it's about time for Barbados 🇧🇧.

@@kingnaldo4058 not ancient at all. Many airports worldwide still deplane by stairs. Even the large international ones. Jetways are very costly and as you can see like in St. Maarten, the hurricanes destroy them when they come through. If this works for Barbados and other Caribbean islands that's fine.
