Montreux Jazz Festival

Jethro Tull are one of the most successful British acts of all time with a career reaching from the late sixties to the present day. In 2003 they made their first (and so far only) visit to the Montreux Festival. Split into a semi-acoustic first half and a full on electric second half, the concert was a triumph combining newer songs such as "Dot Com", "Pavane" and "Budapest" with classic favourites. As ever Ian Anderson leads from the front with his instantly recognizable voice and inimitable style of one-legged flute playing.

Genres an certain artists rapresent our life so is normal to prefere someone, i love jetro tull but i dont consider them the best prog band of their times, they have one of the best albums ever but also boring compositions if u consider all their work like all artists. So it is a bit a closed state of mind to look at others generations trying to make them look stupid and with no taste, there are better compositions and songs before and after jetro tull, high quality music has no time but this doesn't mean they are less important in music history, a real musicians recognize masterpieces even out of their music preferences. Im in my jazz period but i would never say jazz is better than rock just cuz more studied and complicated (even if alot of people did at the time). Thats the difference between musicians and listeners ,you listen to your younger self and focus on the emotions, musicians listen to music as the main process itself we search for all details and for it we got tired of generes quickly so we more open minded.

Fantastico !!!!
