Seen him in concert in Germany when I was 16. I was over there with my husband who was US Military ( common to married young back then). JTull was little intimidating, to me at first , bugging out those eyes and all lol. And the guys we were with said he’s been know to take his cloths off at his concerts just warning me since I the only female in our group. we road the trains to get there, jumped the trains actually. we didn’t have a lot of money, yet we made it. just got threw off few times, for not having ticket lol. That was my first concert it was totally amazing and I’ll never forget that time I went to see/hear the Wild Masterful flute player Ian Anderson ….Jethro Tull. And of course I’m a life time Fan at 63. Thank you. ❤ by the way - he kept his cloths on .

I think most great musicians are. Much like it´s their language, if that makes any sense? I think they listen to music a bit different than most of us. Maybe one small transition means a whole lot to them, that we don´t even notice, but it builds on whatever they played for the last three minutes. I see this also in dance, as a friend of mine is heavily invested in this art. In time, I understand more and more of his view, but it is not native in me, like I can see it in him. It is very much like a natural reaction to whatever someone else does on stage. So I think it is fair to say that proper musicians, or rather all true artists have their own language. Or maybe more languages per art, for all I know. But this is one of the pieces that cements that thought in me. That some people have other eyes or ears then me. Somehow, this all plays out to my benefit, so I will simply lay back and enjoy!

@@darlalong1957 Darla, it was the best rock n' roll, jazz and blues from the mid 60's till around 1980! Most of the late 70's new groups continued with great music since then, however it seemed to change a bit with all the newer groups just starting in the early 80's which I didn't care for as much, with exceptions, of course!

I’m sobbing. Such a wonderful performance of a song that was an anthem of a particularly formative part of my youth. Fabulous.

Was 16 when I first heart J Tull over a friend house , got hooked in one minute . Got some money and bought the 3 albums they had left , This was , Benefit and sure Aqualung think was 1977 . I am from Brazil and my English was below zero . but used to listen at least 3 or 4 times everyday . Lol .End up singing my way , my friends thought i knew the lyrics .. Well two years later moved to live in L A , 1980 they were on tour when saw an add ,,,,J TULL will play at Long Beach . Was living over West L A , a bit far and no wheels . Bought two tickets and in the evening a bunch of friends were having a barbeque when I arrived . Got a beer , place my steak in the grill and whistle loud . Hey guys got one ticket left to see J T at long beach ; who has a car to come with and buy the beer .First time I saw them live , just got a bit disappointed when the band came on stage dressing all in a white kind of lates uniform with an big red A over their hearts , Wasn't like them .The concert was great anyway , got to see them two more times .. Who knows them well sure heard Bourre from The Benefit Album , well two years before the album and music was released . Was also the first time in life he touch a flute , and go listen to We use to Know from the This was album , pay attention and realize from where Eagles Hotel California came from . Was living between Houston and Rio working for a big ship owner carrier . Retire at the same time that virus was flying over to N York , was on my way back here anyway . Came to take care of my dear 90 years old Mom , came March and the virus blossom , down south was still summer . Will go back buy my sailboat and live down the Islands . Now the big question , what that place up in Cleveland deserves to be named .Take care you all ,Cheers from Rio . .

I was fortunate to have seen them in concert when they were promoting their Passions Play album. They went through that album, then closed out with Aqualung, Thick as a Brick, Locomotive Breath. and a couple more greats. The air was thick, and we all had a great time!
