Tull, NOT in the Hall of Fame?! That’s a crime. Should do the whole album if you can. Gotta do, My God and Wondering Aloud together. Wondering Aloud is somewhere around a minute long.

My first concert was Jethro Tull in El Paso, Texas 7/9/73. Holy Moly !!! I was 16 years old. A Passion Play phenomenon was the greatest concert I have ever witness for 5.00 dollars. Put that in your pipe & smoke it.

Jethro Tull is completely unique in the world of rock/progressive rock. Ian Anderson has fronted a band that has created some of the most memorable music in the last 50+ years. If you want to learn about the name Jethro Tull, look up the agronimist.

Their musicianship is impeccable. In fact, the great Ritchie Blackmore used to require his musicians in Rainbow to go see Tull play live because he wanted them to see the standard that they were supposed to play up to. Cool reaction, Biz.

Take your time. Jethro Tull had their golden years during the 70s, but there are also treasures before and after. In Stockholm, Sweden they were opening act for Jimi Hendrix! (my friends saw that concert - I didn't) The cover of J S Bach's "Bouree" (from Stand Up, 1969, was a hit. The KZbin clip of "My God" (later to be released on Aqualung) is a must! In 2006 Jethro Tull and Lucia Micarelli did an excellent cover of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" KZbin (2:13). The evolution of the band up to the album "Heavy horses" 1978 include some really top notch songs including the almost 44 min long "Thick as a brick" (there is a 13 min live concert version on KZbin). Personal favourite songs: "Songs from the wood" and "Minstrel in the gallery" both with some medieval influences(!) Today there are two "Jethro Tull"s one of Ian Anderson and one of Martin Barre.

Still thrilled you are back, Biz. I think this is my favorite track on the album. All of it is phenomenal. I’ve only been listening to it ~50 years so may have to think a little more about which is my favorite. I really enjoyed watching you enjoy it so much. This one caught you, I can see that.

This album is great, you should listen to it as a whole. It is not a concept album although because it has several songs with a similar lyrical theme some critics thought it was. Ian's reaction was to write a spoof concept album (Think as a Brick) as a bit of a joke, but it turned out to be so good - 45 minutes of magic. Each of their albums has a different theme/sound - but all uniquely Tull - there is something for everyone or your different moods.

Wow! I liked your comments. Here in Spain we don´t have this kind of TV preachers that sell you holy water ,but there are some politicians that claim they are defending the essence of Spanish Christianity and want to send back home all of these poor African people who try to reach our coasts in a fragile boat hoping for a better life. And this corrupt people call themselves Christians? Anyway you touched the point of the song. These prog guys really could play and had the creativity to put all this music together.

Hi, I've been watching a few of your reactions lately, and keep forgetting to hit the Subscribe button! Didn't forget this time, glad to be a subscriber. Jethro Tull is my all-time favorite band, although I only got to see them live once, in 1979. Best concert ever! For me, I think their best material came from the 70's, after that I pretty much stopped following them. Doesn't matter, I'll listen to their stuff from the 70's forever! Super hard to pick a favorite song, it probably changes with my mood. Tull is such a unique band, there's no mistaking them for anyone else when you begin to hear any of their songs. Ian Anderson wrote practically every song, he's a genius!

If you find the time, check out Jethro Tull on a two-part video of their live performance at the Isle of Wight festival in England back in the summer of 1970 of "Dharma for One". Tull's original drummer Clive Bunker gives an outstanding solo on part-two of "Dharma for One". The frontman Ian Anderson is one hell of a showman even though he doesn't play his flute in this song. At any rate, "Dharma for One" is smokin' hot and worth a listen and also gives you an impression of Jethro Tull in the earlier days during their career. 🔍🔎🎭🎤🎸🎹🥁🔊🔥☮🎧

A unique mix of prog, hard rock, and folk, and some of the cleverest lyrics out there - plus great playing by the whole band. This whole album is brilliant, and it's just the tip of the JT iceberg. Anderson's most scathing take on religion is in the album's final song, "Wind Up".

Boyfriend/husband and I went to a Tull concert in the early 70's. Very nice theater with comfortable seats, nice acoustics. Probably smoked a dube before the show. Anyway I slept throught the entire concert !?!! LOL😆 Husband was a fan, owned several albums, but for some reason they never excited me. Great respect for their talents, just not my thing for some reason. Robert Plant called them "Jethro Dull" ! To each his own I guess, that's what makes life interesting. No offense intended to all their many fans.
