The news that he will record a new album in 2024 and then retire or move on to other things is a hard blow for fans, but we have to understand that if he has decided to do so, it is because he thinks the time has come. I know he's been thinking for a long time about how and when to stop, as he said on the Norman Reedus show. The only thing we wish him is good luck, good health and that everything goes well for him. The legacy he leaves behind and that is yet to come is something so great that we will always be grateful to him.

I’m so happy you are still making great music. Absolutely one of my favorite artists. And may I say, although you’ve gotten older, (as have we all) , your music has become so much more refined, your skills ,in both technique and in composition have continued to develop and grow . Few artists, in any style music be it classical, jazz, or rock, have cultivated your level of skill. I’ve Always loved fusion the best. The only artist I can think of who I consider in the same class, would be, the Dave Brubeck, and his quartet, who I had seen in Los Angles, (before he passed ) and although those guys were well into their 90’s , I was so impressed with the fact that they had gotten better as musicians, truly world class musicians, and no one in their class of musicianship, with the one exception of you guys. Thank you for the music. Much love Tomalyn

Hello Mr Anderson. First of all , I love everything you do. It still rocks my 66 year old bones. Plus when I STILL mow my lawn in this HEAT. I always look for Under Wraps album on my IPod. Then play Heat over and over until I’m done, and it makes it a whole lot better. Thank you sir.

One more album and then done? No no no. Maybe be done with rock. But we need Secret Language of Birds 2! Or Rupi's Dance 2. More sweet acoustic albums, man. Your voice handled that well, and it's some of your best songwriting

Five minutes ago I had never heard of Dolby Atmos. Now I'm distressed about how long it will be before I can hear Tull's last release in that format. I'm not a big entertainment center guy and I never even considered any need for a surround sound system, but if Ian Anderson used a new format to produce an album, there has to be something actually submersive about it.

I don’t have Atmos but I have Dolby 5.1 for my home cinema system and have become a huge fan of surround sound mixes. I have played Minstrel In The Gallery and Thick As A Brick to death over the last 40 years but the new surround mixes which came on the book format anniversary editions gave them a whole new lease of life and are by far my favourite mixes.

Surround sound music as been around since the 1970's "Quadraphonic" 4 speakers were used. Musicians loved it, you could fit more tracks from the studio on the album. Two channel is limited, you can only fit so many tracks in stereo. Quadraphonic disappeared because the "high end" audio "twits" didn't like it. Surround sound was born again in the movie theater. This influenced intelligence in Music production. Today the finest sound you can hear music, is Bluray-audio. Half of the Pink Floyd catalog is in 5.1 surround. Every Rush album. Led Zeppelin "Song remains the same " is available in regular bluray in 6.1 surround.

Regarding words informing the mix: Greg Penny when doing the Atmos mix of Elton John's Rocketman specifically wanted the slide guitar part (which sounds like a synth) to pan overhead from front to back, which underlines the otherworldly concept of the song brilliantly

I think, that "The Zealot Gene" is more intelligent and deep album than the "Rokflote", and I'm a great fan of music by Ian Anderson, and I'm also think that the "Rokflote" is a great album! :)

We’ll use this point in time, 2024 as a benchmark, retiring 35 yrs., early. And anxious to move into our 2nd career, business; emigration from USA, to buy prop out of the US. Working at home at this second, this presentation on one device, and simple work today on our work computer. Pt. 1. Mention of something we read 10 plus years ago and most recently, answer, comment in interview from Pres. Trump, @ 1 mo. ago (Pt. 2).

Agreed, the value of copyright. Have to research what’s been happening with copyright laws in the last decade, plus. Believe we’ve heard you, Ian A., speaking on it, in the recent past. Cannot remember the specifics currently of what you’ve said. The Digital Age, must research how artists are effected. A statute of limitations? If that is the case, a statute of limitations, on royalties, etc., we go back to our original thoughts of eschatologically (end times, biblical time in the world), whereby even business practices from the past are effected. Meaning? One may not understand it, but biblically, if we’re entering into the Beast Kingdom, last kingdom of the world, everything will be effected. Example: Real Talent was prevalent within the 20th Century. But, A bit into the 21st Century, with the rise of the Beast Kingdom, there is Zero Interest in any Real Talent, and it’s Influence upon the world. Those with Zero Talent or very little Talent, is their interest in promoting that. Sanitization of Real Talent, Blocking, Barriers, etc. Even our top prophetess from NYC, has stated this, that this will be the way it will be, as spoken from The Lord. (So there it is, fyi, mystery resolved, of what’s to be). Sorry for length.

27:49 - oh, but we can escape capitalism, Ian. And we will, because capitalism has inherent contradictions that will cause it to destroy itself, whether or not we build something better. I do hope we'll build something better, though, before it destroys us all on its way to its own demise. "Capitalist Realism" has infected you... There *_are_* other ways the world can be.

I don't care about my record/CD collection anymore. My records are long since gone - sadly, just did not want to devote the time, space and energy to lugging them around, dusting them, picking them up, etc. It's all digital and will remain unless I win the lottery and can afford a massive sound system and theater. But, I do care about the Jethro Tull Anniversary bookshelf editions and would love to get all the albums in that format. To have all the albums in bookshelf format, except several in CD folders or jewel cases just looks tacky for my favorite music!

Brilliant Tull ideas lead to brilliant Tull albums. Listening to 'Røkflote'' takes a longtime fan back home, BUT, a brand new and inventive one made up of contemporary stuff. Hope the next move goes this way, man. NB : 'Guardian's Watch' is a genuine "Song From The Wood".
