I discovered Jethro Tull in 1986. I had heard and liked JT many times before 86' (on radio) but really listened too and fell in love with JT in 86' at about 20 years old. unfortunately I saw only 1 JT concert (one of, if not the best concerts I'd ever seen (and I had seen a lot of concerts before that), it was the Rock Island tour. (look it up if you haven't seen it, the stage show was magic, really!) Shortly after I became severely crippled/disfigured and since then, well ill just say music helps... thank you

Just a note to Ian: One of your most ardent fans, Dan "Grizzle" Willis just passed away at age 63. He met you back stage some time in the early 1990s. Being 6'3", he was surprised that you were not ( as tall!). Never the less, he was the JT ambassador of upstate NY! Oh.. I also becamer a flautist and learned many of your compositions. Bless you Ian!

It's hard to express how much I've enjoyed your music over the years. The first time I heard Jethro Tull was in about 1969 and immediately knew your music was above and beyond anything I had heard before. I once went to see you perform at Fillmore West in around 1969 but you were ill and Janis Joplin filled in. Great concert but I never got another chance to see you live. BTW I'm 70 years old and I've never bought any albums that weren't Jethro Tull.

This is going to be magical, and you're looking much more handsome these days. I hope you know how happy you've made us for 50 years. You are literally saving my life these very nights as I battle crippling anxiety and panic disorders with a side dose of depression. So I lay in my pillow trying to focus on anything & it's always you, especially Songs From The Wood, Skating Away, Wondering Aloud, Life's a Long Song, so many others. I close my eyes and remember all the shows at Madison Square Garden; you've been an important part of my life, and I thank you. Bless. ♥️🇺🇲☘️

I have a never worn concert t-shirt with the Broadsword album logo (just like the vinyl edition cover), signed by you backstage and wonderfully framed. The person who did this for me did an amazing job. Also, behind the glass are the 2 backstage passes. 11/14/2004. Sorry about you having to go back to a certain casino 😉 this year but thank you for your generosity that day. Meant a lot.

Broadsword - I just want to say thank you!!! There weren't many songs when I was young that captivated me so much and conjured up images of Northmen, winds, waves, dark clouds, an approaching armada and fleeing women and children in my head. With this song my imagination flew to far away lands. That's why I love this song to this day: I'll soon be 60 and I still have these dreams...

I've been a Jethro Tull fan since Stand Up. My first Tull concert was Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio in 1970. The third song was My God, which hadn't been released yet. When the band kicked in the power went out. For the next 20 minutes you told stories and jokes to us in the dark until the crew was able to run another cable to the generator outside the auditorium. Memorable show. The first concert I took my daughter to was Jethro Tull at Constitution Hall in Washington, DC about 15 years ago. I've got all of the anniversary box sets and have Broadsword on pre-order; can't wait. I appreciate that you've issued them in a uniform format--looks great on the shelf.

Anyone who was around back then and a Tull fan will remember that _Broadsword_ was a crucial album. After releasing the album _A_ in 1980 to very mixed fan reaction, it seemed like _Jethro Tull_ as a group had ended with the seventies. Wasn't a big fan of the new 'electronic' sound. Fortunately, a year later, they were back in great form with _Broadsword and the Beast!_ It was the first Tull concert I went to!
