About the milk, the ones you are referring to are packed in tetra packs and treated with UHT (Ultra High Temperature) processing which gives them a shelf life of 2-3 months unless they're opened, then they need to placed in a fridge. The other kind of milk is simple pasteurized which you'll always find in refrigerators and has a shelf life of 5-7 days max

Hi jetLag Warriors!. UHT milk can stay without refrigeration until expiration date. Once the Tetra Pack is open, it must being keep it refrigerated or being consumed within, no more, than 24 hours. UHT milk, is fluid milk, but not fresh milk. It´s more inexpensive than fresh milk mostly. Most of the times, it´s made it, using powder milk and filtred water with an added stabilizer on it. It´s a more industrialized kind of milk, than regular fresh milk. It´s very safe and good quality as well. it´s a GREAT way to get fluid, safe and good quality, milk for less than fresh milk.

UHT milk does not need refrigeration till opened. Also, Australian cows are mentioned because majority of milk in Pakistan is from water buffaloes. There are some dairies which have Holstein cows, which are colloquially called "Australian cows" in Pakistan. We don't have chicken skin because most of our cooking involves wet cooking the chicken (braising/currying/stewing) which makes the skin lose its texture and taste and feel unpleasant.
