this is why the new 'quick' flush on modern toilets are a menace. I always use the long flush and double flush after a 'no2'. I also bleach my toilets every day and bleach/disinfect the drains outside regularly. Never have a blockage and frankly I don't much care about the 'so called' extra water usage.

How can the smell not alert people to a problem. Are they immune, or other stinks blocking it?

I think they only really start to smell when they become blocked and once blocked it doesn’t take long to really start backing up 👍🏼
