What a timely post! I just started a bullet journal this weekend after procrastinating for a year. 😩 I have a lot of habits and goals to track. Thanks for the inspiration!! And I love those dot pens!!

Having a reward system to the habit tracker works. I reward myself 10mins of video game time when I read 1 chapter of book. I do more of the thing I want to do and spend moderate time of things I want to do less

Having two planners help. One for personal and one for work. On my work planner, I track different things weekly so I customize it freely. While on my personal journal, I track the more permanent things like my New Year's resolution of exercise, water, using more aloe vera in my self care.

I have such a busy life: professional, family, personal, financial, so when I see that there's a new JetPens video, I make some coffee and take a break. We are so spoiled-the combination of quality pens, paper and productivity tips is just so timely. My cart for JetPens is growing by the day. Thanks for keeping us so well-informed! Not a fan of the bullet journal. Would rather have a lovely Rhodia pad, Graph paper Mnemosyne for the structure perhaps for lists? Planners are made for appointment keeping. Wasn't there a planner sticker that was a small Habit Tracker on it? That's gold.

I do intensity-based trackers in addition to binary trackers by varying the amount of marking in a square. I use a 3-level system: (1) single forward slash (2) forward slash fill (5 slashes like in the video at 3:22) and (3) forward + back slash fill (like a cross hatch). It's simple and only requires one pen, but I can still see hot spots like in a heat map. I used it mostly for tracking headaches (none/minor/bad) and the factors I thought contributed to them. It worked really well for me, and I've discovered poor sleep kicks my butt way more now than when I was in college! I'm hoping to now use the tracker to prevent headaches.

Ooh Kokuyo Jibun Techo reference right of the bat! I just learned about these and I'm really thinking about taking the plunge. I have so many questions though! Please feel free to contact in and advise if you have the time :) 1. Is there a huge difference between the regular vs the biz? I see only the pink A5 starter kit is left and so I'm considering other options 2. If I were to buy the biz and the other two booklets separately could I fit them all into the biz cover? 3. A5? B6? I think I'm heavily leaning towards the A5 because it's a nice size but what if I'm making the wrong choice here?! 4. It's almost March - would it be better for me to order January start planner or just an April start for this year? 5. Where can I find more covers? I see some gorgeous leather covers at Galen leathers (I think that's what it's called) but those are more for the larger hobonichi diaries it seems 6. I'm pretty sure there's so much more I need to know! Any advice for me?
@123marksalot4 жыл бұрын
Hadiza M I got the biz for my birthday and I absolutely love it. To answer some of your questions: 1. The main difference between the biz and the regular is the paper type and the colors that they use. The biz has a more muted color scheme where as the regular is more colorful. 2. The booklets dose fit in the biz cover. I have the life booklet in my cover and it’s slim enough that it doesn’t bulk it up to much. 3. I have the a5 and I love it. But I think it all depends on the size of your hand writing. My hand writing is more on the larger size but the a5 is large enough for me. I think if I had gotten the b6 it would have been to small for me, but again if you have smaller hand writing it shouldn’t be to much of a problem. 4. I think it would depend on if you were ok with a chunk of the planner that you couldn’t use because of it being March. If your okay with some of the pages not in use then go for it, if your not okay with that then I would wait until December (that’s when the planner starts) 5. I have a leather cover that I got off of Etsy, and even though I love it and it said it was an a5 size, there is a large gap between the jibun techo and the middle of the cover. If your set on getting another cover I would recommend looking on Etsy and talking with some of the creators to see if it would fit. I unfortunately didn’t talk to the maker of my cover to see if it would fit, hence it doesn’t lol. But honestly unless you plan on adding more to than two booklets you really don’t need one if you get the jibun techo that already comes with a cover. 6. If you still have questions I would recommend looking at some of the unboxing videos reviews and plan with me videos that are on KZbin. Some channels I would recommend are the planner chicky, pencilcandy, jibun no life, and couchnest. Hope that helps ☺️

You can draw your own habit trackers to keep track of things like hours of sleep! Why not try creating trackers horizontally, so you can have your trackers on the left side and any notes you might want to add on the right side?

Cool and helpful video, and I really like the stamps and bookmark clips, but...I don’t understand why people in the comments are raving about these pens?? Like, look at 0:50, see the uninked part in the middle of every stroke? Ugh, I can hear the awful sound of a cheap dried-up ballpoint pen scratching across the page just thinking about it. Give me a Pilot G2 any day over these. The highlighters seem poor as well. They are very uneven in how much ink they let out, and where you lift the highlighter pen up, there’s a watery mess just waiting to be smudged. The cyan one (as seen at 3:36) is barely visible, too, though maybe that’s just because of how bright of lights they’re likely using. I guess I can see why some people would like the aesthetic of them, since they’re reminiscent of Copics, but to me they just seem to be low-quality. Can anybody explain to me why people like these pens and highlights so much? I’m honestly confused and would like to understand.

For most people, coloring in the box means they did do that thing, and not coloring in the box means they did not do the thing. Someone else in the comments said they like to use one color for the thing they did and a separate color for what they did not do. Please know there is no right way or wrong way to do it, it’s whatever makes you happy. 😊
