One thing pretty much no one mentions, is that you need to rest at least one finger on the surface of the paper while using a brush. You need that to have a frame of reference regarding how much pressure you are putting on the tip. If you do not rest some of your hand on the paper while using the brush, you won't be able to create consistent thin lines.

What kind of a pen is this that help in writing the awesome calligraphy lettering? What other kind of pens can i use?
@MaryJosARoxas7 жыл бұрын
these brushes are so satisfying
@PixelionRules2 жыл бұрын
I like calligraphy with chisel tip pens more. They are easier to use, plus the problem of practicing downstroke or upstroke is not the same for these. All you have to do is hold the pen at the same angle while writing and not moving the tip from the fixed angle. Simple as that.

Hi! What would be the best brands of brush pens to use for beginners like me who have problems with controlling the pen?

Hi there! We recommend choosing a harder brush pen like this Kuretake brush pen: www.jetpens.com/Kuretake-Disposable-Pocket-Brush-Pen-Fine/pd/3074 or this Zebra brush pen: www.jetpens.com/Zebra-Disposable-Brush-Pen-Fine/pd/2307

In fact, one of the world's most popular penmen is left handed. Look up John Decollibus. He was told as a kid that since he was left handed he couldn't write well, he showed the world

Also, being left-handed is cool. A small population is left-handed and it makes you unique. And I read an article about how left-handed people do good in quite different circumstances such as academics, art, and etc. So you are SUPER LUCKY, I think I am the only one in 2019 btw.

JetPens PenPal hey do you guys ship to Montreal, Canada? what's the shipping charge? or are there stores where your pens are available?
@JetPens7 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Yes we ship worldwide. We offer several different international shipping methods to Canada, which you can view here: www.jetpens.com/help/Shipping_Information You can see which shipping methods are available and calculate estimated shipping costs based on your cart items by first going to the shopping cart page. Find the link that says, "Calculate Shipping" to the right of the cart item list, and input your country, state/province when applicable, and postal code to get a shipping cost estimate. Shipping prices are based on the weight of the items in an order, as well as the specific location of the delivery address, and please keep in mind that not all methods are available to all areas. Hope this helps!

birdcreature I found a bunch of cool brush pens at my local Michaels for a cheap price! I found them just lying around in some of those side racks! However, this channel has a bunch of videos with links to the pens they use in the description. Find one you think would suit you and maybe order that one. Hope this helps! :)

Are we need good Handwriting to do a Handlettering?
@LoveleighLoops6 жыл бұрын
Nope! Calligraphy is completely different than regular handwriting - as long as you start by learning the basics, you don't need good handwriting to become good at handlettering!

Buying in-store is better. Online prices are marked-up, but people don't realize. And each store is different.. I'm using a Faber Castell soft brush - it's really nice =) It's cheaper than the other brush pens but amazing nonetheless in my opinion
@dcardigan137 жыл бұрын
The_small_ Cactus I don't think we have Michaels here, which is sad because I keep hearing how they have really awesome affordable stuff there. I wanna check out Michaels so bad. But then again, if Michaels in the PH turns out to be like Muji in the PH, then few people will still be able to afford the stuff there.
