I think he has a more definitive role and he outperforms Braelon he'll definitely be seeing the field consistently.

Thought Davis was heavier, more like Allen. Don't think Izzy showed enough last season. Jets seem to be moving toward a power running game. Especially with Rodgers' injury this would not be a bad move.

3 of our 4 backs should be able to take advantage of this new gap emphasis. Davis could probably pack a couple more lbs on but I think Braelon will end up our heaviest back by a good margin.

I am comfortable with the guys available for the roster at this time. I would still like to see a TE with the group they now have.

I think we may end up looking at the waiver wire for that position.

I would agree with this desire for an additional TE but not for this year . What I would like is for the team to add a blocking TE option to the PS and develop that option in the scheme so we have that for next season should we decide to move on from Conklin . If either of our 3 options behind Conklin gets extended, then it will signal their intentions.

This draft pick took me by surprise. On further consideration, I wouldn’t go as far as your summation in regards to Edwards, but what I would surmise is that you could put both those guys in the backfield together in short yardage situations and have an awesome package of options available.

Idk if I've seen a 2 RB backfield where they both are power backs 🤔 I'm not mad at it.

@@DKBxJets same thing as putting a DT or OLman in the backfield. Only difference is both those backs can present more options in short yards situations as RBs or Receivers. I’m a defensive coach, but my mouth is watering thinking about the options this offense could present to a defense situationally.

Curious Izzy runs a 4.38, Davis runs a 4.57 both 215 pounds. But Davis’s running style may give him an edge.

Speed isn't his forte but I bet players on the other side start making some business decisions after a few collisions.

Leger Douzable agrees with you. He had Isaiah Davis rated a little higher than Allen . Should be a battle in camp. I really hope Allen is not Ron Dane 2.0. Question, who's the better blocker?

Tough to say, Allen is built better as a blocker but Davis has the me tality for it. Neither were trusted much to do it from what I saw. Allen has more blocking highlights of blowing guys up so I probably give the nod to him.

Braelon Allen played against much better competition. He had to run against that Iowa defense for three years. Best in the conference.
