Considering the Jets questionable offensive line and Aaron Rodgers lack of mobility most likely not going to be a great year for the Jets. Aaron has already been dinged up a little bit in practice, that does not bode well for Aaron when the opposing teams are trying to hurt him when the season begins. Aaron will probably play hurt but we saw how well that has worked in the past. I hope Aaron can play 65% of the season and the Packers get their better compensation. The Jets made a lot of big moves in the off-season but failed to improve the offensive line in front of a an aging player that has lost much of his earlier mobility. Enjoy the happy cordial Aaron Rodgers because he probably will be less amiable by mid-season after being sacked more than he is accustomed to.

It’s gonna take a few years to get this team into championship form. You don’t just wake up a become champions. It’s a culture. A mindset. The way you prepare. The way you compete. How you carry yourself. How you practice. Your expectations. Level of respect. Preparedness. Maturity. The Jets are a young team. Each player on the roster has to fully grasp the magnitude of what’s going on. Each second of each game is important. They have to learn that the game is won not in the 4th quarter but at practice. IF the coaches can get these players to change their mindsets and buy in to a championship way of living, the Jets will be a mega force in the NFL for the next 2-3 years. Possibly 4-5 years IF the Jets can keep the nucleus of this team together. The Jets have to hang their hats on their defense. That’s 🔑. Knowing but not saying this. Let the defense go under the radar. As long as the defense can hold teams back from scoring, Rodgers will put up enough points to win. This should be their strategic goal. Play bend but don’t break defense. When you get a lead, put your ears back and go after the QB. Conserve energy. Controlled aggression on defense. Know when to blitz. Know how to blitz. Know who to blitz. Know where to blitz. Keep the opponent in front of you. Make tackles. Rest. 🤯 Explode! Don’t Rush. Play smart. Protect the lead. On offense. Establish the run. Pick teams apart. Score. Keep Rodgers standing. Make plays. Know when to give your defense a rest. Don’t turn the ball over. Protect the ball. Keep the lead. Score 1st. Score last. That’s a good one. Scoring 1st puts pressure on the opponent. Scoring last means your in control of the game. The object of the game is to score points. Always score points. Even if it’s 3 points. Consistently scoring. The defense should want to get off the field. The offense should want to get on the field.

I would like the Jets to be good enough that Rich is talking about them all season. If they just sucked right away he would probably stop talking about them by the halfway mark. But I don't want them to dominate either. For maximum entertainment value I need this to be a rollercoaster season where Rich's mood is up and down week by week.
