Even though he was before my time, Joe Klecko is my all time favorite jet. And I had the honor of selling him and his family a car a few years ago, even got autographs and pictures with him. He’s a super down to earth type of guy. Super humble.

This has been wonderful to watch. I love the way you go back in depth to the Titans and then the Super Bowl team and all the way through. The playoff game where Gastineau had the late hit. We still were ahead after that as we were ahead by 10 then, and then we had a whole overtime and our offense had the both three times and did nothing and it finally ended in double overtime so we had lots of opportunities even after his hit

I was 15 Yrs old in 1998 The Jets won their first AFC division title and I became hooked on this team, Win lose or tie, I have been a fan for 25 Yrs now and I'm looking forward to another division title this year in 2024 and a Superbowl for the NY Jets #GOJETS I also like how they went back to the throwback logo and uniforms, much much better,

That Namath guarantee is what put him in the HOF instantly :-) Who does not like Joe Namath? He was so good for football. He was flashy and confident but not really arrogant. He did not give people any reason to dislike him.

Learned the game watching the jets. First game I can actually remember is jets-patriots '99 season. I was born in '91. When tom tupa had to step in. What a wild game. Remember at the end of the season we needed to win that game to go to the post season. Thus my hatred for the pats started even before brady. Been a fan all my life. Now my son roots for the jets with his dad and grandfather on game days. Through all the teams "ups" I didn't get to witness and through all the teams "down" moments I've been present for. Win lose or tie- we are Jets fans untill we die. J-E-T-S JETS! JETS!! JETS!!! #NYJ

Pain……. Head Swimming PAIN. That is about the size of it. ………….Since I decided The New York Jets would be my team for life in 1977, I had no idea the kind of ride I would go on. From thrilling victories to head numbing pain, that’s my Jets. Until the day I die…… and even then my spirit will be with them. We finally paid the Browns back( even though it was just a regular season game) the football gods have a way of setting things straight after a few years if you have patience. Hey, coming back with two mins left, tying it and then the on side kick? things like that don’t happen( or do they?) We are on the precipice of greatness again. The brain trust finally realized that a dominant offensive line was the missing ingredient in most of our losing years. Hey- check our O- line in our winning years, that will give you a clue) Yup!?It all starts there, then a good qb, then two great receivers, a reliable slot receiver and a durable tight end. Then two shut down corners, hard hitting free safety and then you build a dominating defense! Whether a 4-3 or a 3-4 make sure you have the right players and don’t make them play a position they are not familiar with. Sounds easy doesn’t it?? Go Jets!!! JETS4LIFE. ( at least we’re not Cleveland )

The Jets Super Bowl was very similar to the MNF Bears Dolphins in 1985. Both Marino and Namath had incredibly quick releases. Shula , who was on both ends of these games,seemed to understand it. Buddy Ryan , the Jets DC and then the Bears, did not.

Personally as a Native New Yorker, I loathe and detest the New York Jets. But if I had to pick a specific time period where the Jets were actually good, it would be 1978 - 1997 when they had the Jets Logo looking like the Concorde Plane. Nice touch. Adding Black to their color scheme, also cool. 2023 brought back the 80s Jets Logo. This was the only Jets Rebranding I ever appreciated.
@TheJetfighter6666 ай бұрын
If you ‘loath’ them so much then why comment about our winning years.?? Did you ‘ Loathe’ them when we were 30 mins from going to another Championship game? Who cares about Uni’s?? I like them all. Please don’t watch the excitement this year, you are not invited! Go watch the Giants, they may win 8 games this year! They are building a decent team again. They are waiting for you. Talk about a lucky team. Well, we are going to make our own luck this year by beating them again in pre- season just for fun, then running over the entire league this year. Ground and pound is back with power and brilliance in which records will be broken. Just be warned!

His first 4 years yes, statistically and winning wise he was never the same after his 1986 injury, that combined with the jets defense falling off due to age was what made them A footnote in Marino’s history (51-45) instead of team of excellence during that decade
