Can’t wait to see your test ride, I’ve been wanting to do same conversion

Appreciate the videos. When will the test run take place? Looking forward to that video. I am looking at converting an old 35hp outboard to electric. Where did you order everything from? How did you determine the proper motor size? I’ll be powering a small combo jet ski/ hydroplane I’m building (Hydrorunner from 1988 Popular Mechanics). How did you determine the right battery size? Very cool you are doing this!

So I am sorry to say, but it was a fail. That’s why there was no test run. It was a liquid cold QS 138 motor and the water entered the inner parts and burned it up, so I had to put it on the side burner. There will be no more videos on it at this time looking into getting a different type of motor for it.

But definitely thank you for watching and I’m going to have more videos of other stuff with this exact same set up. I believe if I would’ve used a different type of motor with a liquid cooling source that was on the outside of the motor separated from the core of the motor it would, but the QS motor water goes through the core and it did not like water inside of it

Sorry to hear this. You’ll get it. Appreciate the heads up on the motor. How did you determine the battery size to get? How much do you estimate motor plus battery weighed? The boat I’m building is small! Can you recommend a place to get this stuff? Thanks.
