can you take the shrink tubing off of the bluetooth module to see what the actual unit looks like and possibly get a part number off of it? these seem to be a specific type of bluetooth module and are impossible to find without a part number or some other identifiers...thanks

It’s not worth as speed only 1-2 miles but pedals assist will block it. Speed only increased when you throttle and pedal at the same time

I don't recommend it but list as example. I don't know which one would work as I never tried. I think someone had issue to connect to the app the BT. I am not sure which wire which :( .. I wouldn't try it unless you know what you are doing.

​@@askdad so I am not an engineer and I never messed around with arduino but after reading about these arduino BT chips they all essentially have 4 or 6 pins. Of those 4 pins, one is ground, one is power for the radio and what not, and then 2 are for data RXD and TXD. The additional 2 ports are for other stuff. One of them is state (as in for the LED that blinks a certain way when the BT is connected) and something else. In any case, the idea is that 4 pins is very standard. now the question is, does the app somehow authenticate that it's talking to a bike chip. if it does, is it maybe based on the name of the BT adapter? if that's the case, maybe the board needs to be renamed which I think would require connecting it to some computer. In any case, I ordered one of those BT adapters with 6 pins, I am going to try to mess around with it without opening up the old bike. if it doesn't work with the app I may try renaming the BT adapter. a more radical solution would be to buy a serial sniffer and read the data that is going back and forth between the old bike and the BT adapter. I can get a sniffer for around 15 bucks on amazon but I would still need to open up and tap into the old bike's pins which is not ideal. plus it seems like a lot of work to try to make sense of the data considering I have no prior experience with electronics whatsoever.

No need to cut the wires. Remove the shrink wrap on the Bluetooth module and simply disconnect the module. You can then plug the Bluetooth module into the Bolt Pro.

If your using the module from the old Jetson bolt you can cut the shrink wrap down the side being careful not to damage the wires you will uncover the plug to disconnect the module from the bike rather than cutting the wires the new Jetson bolt pro has the same plug

I am not sure if it will work as I mentioned in video and description as Jetson bolt told me they use 4.0 4 pins as 4 wire. It might work or might not. I have someone already posted in comments they see light and BT . Did you try to connect to new ride app? Try new one and see if works

Awww DAD... Get some wire strippers, don't do that tape ball, solder the wires, and use heat shrink. Or just find the corresponding connector. They are on Amazon. Measure the pin widths to find it.

Make sure you got wifi and good internet when connecting. I would recommend to check if this bt works with new app as it might just not working bt. Then check troubleshooting

I am having a hard time trying to understand why the v6.2.7 from your site when I load the app and connect to the bolt it still shows up to 12mph max. It does not show a max of 19mph as I cannot slide pass 12mph. With this being at 12mph I cannot even try it on the bolt pro? Also I did not cut the wires like u did as I just unplug it from the bolt and plug it onto the bolt pro. On the bolt with bluetooth max is 12mph and speed test with no load shows 12mph lol. If I plug bluetooth on bolt pro and max to 12mph and speed test no load I see 15.3mph... but this is the original speed which the bolt pro claim to be 15.5 mph so in real world when I'm on the bike it would show 12-13mph which is normal.... I'm stuck on why the app isn't showing up to 19mph...

I am not sure why but as you can see on video kzbin.info/www/bejne/bF6wgn-nist8pLc once I connect BT to bolt it was an option. Also, not all bolt the same as yours have plug in but mine was directly in controller. try to uninstall app and clean catch on phone then restart and do all over again..

@@askdad so I had to download each and everyone of the older app to see why it's not syncing or not showing up at 18mph until the old apk v5.1.3 free gear icon. This immediately once connected shows in setting 18mph/19. Now I can at least when have more time give it a test run no load with load and towing and speed check. This will be done with me 250lbs and my daughter 110lbs as the lower weight u are the faster the bike would go so let's hope to see some changes... It is winter time. Kinda hard to do anything.....
