Jetstar A321neo Flight Review: MEL-DPS | Fun Times in Small Spaces

A short review of my flight from Melbourne to Bali (Denpasar Airport) on Jetstar's relatively new A321neo. In short, I battle my way into the Qantas lounge for free food and take the torture tube to Bali. It ends up being surprisingly okay.

I hope I never have to suffer the Neo. The Dreamliner to Thailand is a superb flight. Narrowbody long flights no thanks.

I flew the Dreamliner to Bali on a morning flight and it was fantastic. Took the A321 Neo on the way back on a night flight. It was without doubt the worst flight I'd ever been on. No head rest so your neck basically snaps as you fall asleep and tilt to the side, and the seats are ridiculously uncomfortable. It's shithouse even by Jetstar standards.

Was it a bumpy flight? I'm taking it on Saturday. Bali to Brisbane. There was no other flight available. I usually use the Dreamliner 787 or the Emirates Airbus A380. So, I'm anxious as a small plane means more turbulence.

great review - I just booked the return flight from Denpasar on this plane and booked exit row - row 19. Is this the row you had? If yes do you recommend it over row 18?

Enjoy! Yes, I was in row 19. I would recommend over row 18 as 19 has full recline whereas I think row 18 has limited recline.
