I've watched your videos for the past year and appreciate the joy you share with your viewers. However, this video on your life as a gymnast is a true gift to all of us. The "joy" thread of your youth and the challenges and upsides of collegiate athletics should be a must watch for every young athlete with their dreams which you lived out and built into your professional life. Much like your boyfriend, I had a massive crush on a gymnast, was invited to a Meet by a mutual friend and relished in her accomplishments and supporting her to fulfill her dreams. Thanks for sharing this with us...an inspirational video and a welcomed trip - for me - down a very wonderful memory lane.

I’ve watched your videos since the pandemic and have heard you talk about your gymnastics career briefly in those videos, but I never knew to what extent and the details about your long career. Thank you so much for making this video and showing us your level of talent and skill. I’m really impressed with all you did and have done and how this has transferred over into your new career. Your level of dedication to both gymnastics and all you’re doing now is exemplary!!!. . .

Ever since junior high when all of us, guys and girls, were introduced to all the gymnastics equipment, the two things that impressed me most with their difficulty were Rings and Uneven bars. Oh, for you and all AA FAs, I saw the contract news today that y'all are finally getting paid for boarding, wait times etc.! It's about damn time!👏👏

I think what many sports at a young age do is establish a healthy and strong physical foundation. I doubt you will ever regret that part of your journey. If you can escape any serious injuries, having that gymnastic history in your life will be a font of health for you for the rest of your life. Many people at even your young age have problems with addictions, obesity, and other lifestyle choice problems. I think you side stepped many obstacles in your life with your gymnastic career.

Could I ask you a couple of questions, one technical and one not: -Technical question: I’ve seen this in college gymnastics on floor exercise but not at elite/Olympic level-at 19:20 when we see your floor exercise routine, the there is an extra mat in the corner on the tumbling pass; why is it there, and why isn’t it allowed at elite level? -Other question: This applies to bars and vault in particular, but given you practiced so much on each apparatus, could you tell if it was off in some way-either too high or low, bars too close or too far apart, or floor exercise mat the wrong size? And did it ever happen in any competitions? (Remember the all around vault at the 2000 Olympics as an example.)

You were such a good gymnast!! I saw the 2024 Olympic team in their Gold Over America Tour the last few nights. Am wondering how does one get to that level if they are in college - Do potential Olympians have to drop out (or not go to college) to compete at that level because one graduates at 21 and that's already an older Athlete in gymnastics.

One of my sisters warned me "Never, ever, get into a fight with a gymnast. They are freakishly strong." So, in high school there was a gymnast (Jim) who liked me, a lot, I mean a lot, a lot (hint hint). I didn't feel the same way, but trying to impress me, he showed me a move he made on the uneven bars. I was impressed with his strength. The last time I saw him was two years later. His skin was grayish and his hair was falling out. He was one of the first victims of a new (then) disease called AIDS and he died at age 19.

Dear Julia. I've watched your vlog for many years now and enjoy them very much. I especially like your talks about the airline industry However, lately, I've noticed you seem to be more about fashion, food, books, personal issues and non-airline subjects. To be honest, I watch your vlog to see you work as a flight attended I've also noticed something in your vlogs that is somewhat uncomfortable. I understand you're a former gymnast and keep yourself in shape but I'm a bit overwhelmed you showing your backside a lot, perhaps intentionally? Now, I'm not trying to be unkind, weird or a prude, but maybe you could show less of your rear and more of the topic I tune in to see. Food for thought. I'm not trying to be unkind. Please don't take my observation the wrong way.
@JettingJuliaАй бұрын
Thank you for following along for years! I greatly appreciate it. In my defense I have ALWAYS showcased my life: travels, books, shopping, beach trip, gymnastics, my dog, cooking etc. I try to show as much airline stuff as I’m allowed to but my airline does have a strict social media policy I must abide by. I actually show my “back side” and myself in a bikini WAY less than I used to years ago! lol but also a I believe the human body is beautiful and I was a gymnast and I’m proud of it. If you don’t like my content anymore that’s okay but as humans we’re allowed to change! My content reflects my life and as I even said in today’s video I am so much more than just a flight attendant, gymnast or KZbinr etc. ☺️
