Big Trevs are so much fun. Even when you think you won the battle on light gear, they just go on their sides near the surface and dog it for a bit longer. Good stuff!

Great vid Sticky,I fish exactly the same way here in SA . Just a number 00 or 0 sinker straight down to the hook bail arm open.I fish on the outgoing tide using pillie cubes around bridge pylons.Have caught some stinker bream,the odd schoolies mulloway and have got smoked and busted off by big mulloway before on the same gear.Gotta love it! Those ufish baits look like they are working well. I might get myself a pack if I can order them. The fish were on around Nelson-newy on Father’s Day, caught my first squid and saw plenty of bream landed.

Hi I made it out of a pole I found and stuck a normal net in the end of the pole to make it longer but can but long nets at some tackle stores 👍

Yeah mate 6lb surliness fc Rock straight fluoro work good on bream but when I hooked the big fish at the end 9lb suffix mono

What’s the rod make and size plus the reel details you combine with the 6lb fluro mate? I use 6lb with my Daiwa hyper and soft plastics but only have a sloppy fibreglass ugly stick with 10lb mono when bait fishing. Want something a bit stiffer and lighter for bait fishing. Great vids, love fishing that spot since you showed us how. Awesome!

Hi mate l use a Shakespeare slingshot 7ft 1-3kg with 6lb sunline fc rock for bream but that for I used for the trevally at end of video is just a cheap shimano fibreglass rod with 9lb mono line I use that around the jetty so when trevally go under jetty i don't have to worry about snapping a good rod 👍

Pretty hard using light line but a longer rod helps to hold it out from the rocks but if line touches oysters its over 👍
