It is called a Jaws harp because it is held in the jaws. It is not called Jews harp. x
@StinkyBlack1 Жыл бұрын
The Jew's harp, also known as jaw harp, juice harp, or mouth harp,[nb 1] is a lamellophone instrument, consisting of a flexible metal or bamboo tongue or reed attached to a frame. Despite the colloquial name the Jew's harp most likely originated in Siberia, specifically in or around the Altai Mountains, and has no relation to the Jewish people

I'm 57yrs old and have always known it as a jews harp. Never associated it with Jewish folk or the religion , just what it was called.

It is commonly known as both Jaws Harp and Jews Harp. However, the original and true name is Jaws Harp because it is held between the jaws. @@lukasadamson6091
