But this business will not scale in India. Because value of lab grown diamond is decreasing very rapidly. I know that because I’m also jewelry manufacturer and exporter. Around 70% Indian consumer buy jewelry for 2 reason. First is for daily wear or wedding and etc. and second reason is that when they are buying it for first reason they also thinking about investment in jewelry. If they buy lab grown diamond jewelry then there will be loss in diamond value with time.

I think you are fundamentally wrong in this thing, there's a difference between a metal and a stone. Just like gold is rare in between the metals, the rarity of the gold is which give it its value. Similar is the case with natural diamonds, its the rarity of diamonds among all the stones which determines its value. And also usually people don't buy diamonds for investment purposes, they view it as a luxury item.

Another thing is Diamonds can be grown into lab because diamonds are nothing but Carbon Allotropes but we can't grow Gold anywhere.. Hence Gold will ALWAYS be more valuable and Precious. If you want the proof then wait for next Financial collapse and try trading Diamond vs Food, Gold vs Food
