I bought a jewelers saw and blades. I believe it came with a pack of about 100 blades. I thought it was strange that it came with so many blades. Now I know why! The blades are constantly breaking and I don't use much pressure at all, when I saw. But I do make sure the blade is tight. It's also extremely difficult to load the blades. I can hardly tell which side of the blade has the teeth! They're just so tiny. But are there blades out there that are stronger and possibly "bigger", that I could use? I just seem to have terrible luck with them. All they do is break! Thank you very much.

Hi there, yes there is a chance you are using the wrong blade - it may be too thin for the sheet/metal you are cutting. Could you give me a bit more detail on the grade of blade you are using and what thickness metal? A 4/0 grade is normally ample for most jewellers. You can also lubricate your blade with bees wax to help the blade glide. Then its all about technique. Nice. I was curious why there is the small protrusion at the top of the saw. Thank you. 👍
