In class, I find blades inserted at awkward angles - the bolt turns the blade slightly and if unnoticed, the second bolt is used to straighten the blade. I also liken the blade to a band saw. It will twist if you push forward too firmly. Good video, thank you.

The chart you mentioned says page not found. Can you attach it below
@lenastiward8657 Жыл бұрын
I managed to find it by going to the Rio site and putting it in the search. I had to do this several times and finally I found it. However, since I am not very computer savvy I had a heck of a time to get it printed. There were a few other charts as well but I cannot get back there again . . . So frustrating! If they could just attach it like on other videos it would be so helpful!

Should/can the blade lubricant be used on rotary burs?

Yes, Burlife will help create a cut with less chatter, and will extend the life of your burs.

Can we use beewax as a lubricant
@RioGrande1944 Жыл бұрын
Thank you! No, we do not advise using beeswax. Here is a link to our BurLife® tool lubricants: ow.ly/StqG30pbB1w

Beeswax is fine, disappointing that he would misinform you in attempts to sell his product.

So...if someone is truly a beginner you didn't say the teeth need to point to the handle when you insert the blade.

Your links don't work. I cannot find the saw blade chart on your site. Not a single link posted is correct. None of them work. This video is only 2 yrs old. Please fix this issue. Be careful of what you say. That first saw is not 'a German saw frame'. It is a 'German Style Saw Frame' Made in India, sold on Amazon for $14 with a pack of rusty blades that break easily. Both the saw and blades are cheap metal and junk. You get what you pay for. This ultra cheap junky saw is widely sold at retail outlets like Rio Grande for $33 and marketed as 'German'. It is about as German as Tikka Masala Curry. Thank you for some excellent tips on saw blades. I wish you had also covered what size blade for metal thickness. Your chart is non existent and your search does not work on the website.
