I just discovered this video in December 2023, and I am so happy I did. You are an amazing teacher. I watched the video about 3 times to make sure I had it. Then I went and purchased my looper. Now, I have created 2 bracelets and matching earrings. Blessings to you, dear lady! 😊 I also clicked like and subscribed.

Forgot to say your group is great . We love you guys keep those classes coming. As a senior we love these classes without paying for them. I know for myself I then will pass on your classes to others and also teach someone if they ask. We women need to pass on knowledge.

if you don't have a 1 step looper, use eye pins. they already have a loop at one end, so you don't need to make as many loops with pliers.

I recently bought a one step looper (have wanted one for a long time) ... and I absolutely love it! It makes my life so much easier and is much easier on my hands (as I'm a senior with arthritis and, although I like making my own loops, after a while it is very painful on my hands.) Highly recommend anyone else who enjoys making jewellery invest in one of these amazing tools. 👍💕

I make a lot of 5 decade Rosaries, which means 118 eye-pins have to be made. After I get everything together (which is 59 beads and the crucifix) I go over every eye-pin to get them the same size and make sure the eye-pins are completely closed . This usually takes me several hours to complete, but I’m guessing that a one step looper would save me quite a bit of time. Thank you for showing us this incredible tool!

Oh I love that one-step looper. I make my own loops, but this sure would save time and hand pain. Because I am so frugal, I would probably cut my wire at one foot pieces to save more wire. Thank you for a lovely video. I think I will join some of my links together to make a bracelet.

I am cutting the 20 and 18 gauge of copper wire with a "End cutter", but I notice there is a sharp edge left at the end of cut, but I worry if the wire accidentally pulled apart it may potentially cut the finger, so I started to smoothen the edge of the wire after cutting by sanding it with sandpaper or sanding stick. I wonder is there a better way or tool to smoothen the cut without sanding it ? Will this flash cutter you use give a clean and smooth cut ?
@JewelSchool Жыл бұрын
Be sure to cut the wire with your flush cutter using the flat side. basically, turn the flat side toward you as you cut. This will give you an even straight cut, not a pointed one. Also, think about investing in a wire rounder with a cup burr. This will be a lot easier to use to help dull sharp edges. www.jtv.com/product/bead-reamer-and-wire-rounder-attachments-kit-incl-bead-reamer-and-assortment-of-burs/JSKIT0559?mcid=XSOjsyt

The 1.5mm looper is the standard, but if you are a beginner and find that working with those small loops is challenging, try going up a step to the 2.25mm. It's not a big difference and should work for most projects. 1.5mm Looper: www.jtv.com/product/vintaj-basic-1-step-looper-trims-and-loops-head-pins-and-eye-pins-in-1-easy-step/JST578?mcid=XSOjsyt 2.25mm Looper: www.jtv.com/product/1-step-looper-pliers-creates-2-25mm-loops/JST662A?mcid=XSOjsyt

You said that an average bracelet would be 7 inches before the clasp. My question is when you gift it to someone or sale it what wrist size do you tell them it is for? A 7-inch wrist or a 7 inch plus the size of the clasp parts on both ends making it then more like 7 1/2 inches?

Hi Shevy! Great question! Those pesky double jump rings. We also know them as split rings and there is actually a jewelry tool called a "Split Ring Opening Plier" that you can get to help you open split rings. Just do a quick internet search and you'll find one. You'll know it because one prong of the plier will be bent in to a 90 degree angle. Good Luck!
