Being modest isn't easy, but it's a treasure chest protecting your body and soul. When people see you dressed modest they know, hands off. Thank you so much for this amazing inspiration and honesty! Keep it coming

Joyce, I am so very proud of you. I’ve known you since I worked at your Mother’s boutique, Studio Biz, at the Beverly Center and once that closed she moved me to Herve Leger on Sunset Plaza. I always knew you were a very humble and good person. Mazel Tov Joyce, May You Continue To Go From Strength To Strength. Hi to your Mom Kiki, she was such a mentor to me and I will always thank her for all she taught me.

Joyce and Allison, this was beyond inspiring! It’s funny how Hashem sends us messages that we need to hear at just the right times, and that’s what this interview was for me. I wish I could sit with each of you to ask so many more questions! Such genuine ladies spreading light.

One of the most inspiring interviews I've ever watched!!! Joyce,I can so relate to your apreciation for haute couture! I grew up in Zurich,an international city, raised by my mother ,who is always dressed super elegant and,who on top of her profession as an attorney, has developed into a hobby designer of high end clothes, using styles and fabrics inspired by designers like valentino, akris, lacroix, armani, creating high end clothes for herself and her others.(I've been wearing gowns designed and sewed by my mother which are high end in style and fabric) She's my model when it comes to modesty. Both my parents are artistic and we were raised to respect art and beauty, but never did it come into conflict with zniut. My mother has a saying- "if something isn't elegant,it isn't modest either". Whenever she tries to make a point about something being too tight, she'd say" you won't find a haute courure designer who'd create such a tight sleeve for an arm"... I loved what you said about the deeper reason for leaving yiddishkeit and for ways to reconnect. I felt your spirituality and your deep connection to the soul coming through and in my humble opinion,it's society's shallowness which celebrates shows like "unorthodox",or" my unorthodox life". Interviews of the sort that go to the depth of what Judaism is and which stay clear from going on a defense about the role of the jewish woman, are so much richer in content and hopefully will touch many more people with questions. Thank you, Joyce!! I would love to continue this conversation with you by mail, if that's a possibility... Allison, you're a wonderful host, thank you for always tapping into the heart and matter at hand!

Very interesting conversation. But what I would like to mention: it is pretty hard to find beautiful, elegant and modest clothing, and affordable, especially for young girls and women

Hi Allison, this was the most inspiring interview I’ve watched in a while, truly thank you both ladies so much. It was so inspirational I want to watch the whole thing again. Can you please put it on your podcast, so that I can listen to it while we’re driving? Thank you Joyce for how much love you invested in your answers....I really felt like you wanted to talk with all of us so much and as a listener I just can’t express to you how much I appreciate that. Seriously the most inspiring interview I’ve watched in a long time. Toda Raba to everyone involved in making this happen, including Joyce’s beautiful children!

I like that Joyce's father wanted to help women feel confident. That's not how men, especially traditional Sefardic men, are usually seen, regardless of how individual men actually conduct themselves.

"If you don't stand for something, then you stand for nothing. If you stand for nothing then people can't stand you." I like that. But history hasn't always borne that out. Sometimes people get nervous because of what you do stand for.

Dressing like a bat Melech is royalty. Hashem is our king, therefore women should dress like a princess.
