If I recall correctly, the Torah bars men from “rounding the corners of their hair.” Do all Hasidic sects agree that phrase requires maintaining peyot OR do some sects interpret the phrase differently? Without knowing more about the language phrasing for this mitzvot, and based solely on the English translation, I could come up with a few ways that phrase could be interpreted so I was curious if other sects varied as well. I just found your channel while looking for more connection to my Jewish heritage in light of the conflict in Gaza and Israel. May the L-rd compel the immediate release of all hostages while illuminating the hearts of those with deep hate of our people so that they can now see how misguided hate has rendered them.

The Torah is not interpreted. It is read. And all things pertain to all Jews. Yes, some things are followed more than others, depending how observant one is, but most things are not mitzvot or halachot that are only observed be Hasidim. The length of one's peyot may vary, but that one has them, as all religious men do, is the observance of the mitzvah. If one does have a question about a Halacha, they go to their local Rav with the Shayla, they don't interpret it for themselves (unless he himself is a Rav!).
