The sadness and pain in her eyes is haunting. All the testimonies of the survivors strike me with these sad eyes. What things they were forced to see...you never leave the past behind, no way no how. And that is our common past-in these people's eyes. It haunts all of humanity, it doesn't matter who you happen to be. Listening to these stories is an obligation.

This lady was incredible to listen to. Her loss is overwhelming and heartbreaking. Her love of her husband and devotion to him - admirable!! The love of children - heartwarming and precious!! Truly and amazing interview. What an astounding woman!! When she said she got back almost what she had lost - what depths of love that described!!

Amazing testimony. Only today I was telling off my young cousin for making derogatory comments about the people in the northern part of my country. I told him of this testimony and how people who don't share the same culture as you are Not your enemy. This testimony should be in the curriculum of every school. And her life, she says was actually sustained by a Palestinian soldier. God bless you Dear lady.

Today is Remembrance Day 2019. I watch this interviews and other story's to honour those who've been through war. I'm heart broken for her and so many other survivors, who have lived through the horrors of hatred. How is it that humans can inflict such cruelty upon fellow humans?? I'll never understand it...I'm grateful to those who fought against such evils. I will remember, and watch and cry, and will share your story and other testimonies to my grandchildren...lest we forget.

Your story and the terrible suffering you have been through...to have lost all those you loved - horrific. Know that one day you will be reunited with all those you loved and who loved you, but nobody should ever have had to go through all that you went through. God bless you, Eva...so glad that you found happiness and a new life with your husband... I have to say that the interviewer does not impress: she is cold and does not empathise at all. Eva is a beautiful soul, and I am so happy that her family have brought her so much joy.

Are you watching and listening Germans. How proud of yourselves you must be to hear what a virtual child had to endure. Torn from her family she survived, God knows how, and tells her story magnificently. It’s a wonder she’s in one piece today after her experiences, starving and cold bless her. The inhumanity beggars belief. How ever can the German race hold their heads up and look you in the eye.

Until spring 1944, Hungarian Jews remained the largest Jewish community in Europe, which was not affected by mass extermination. Their position changed when the Germans took over the country. At that time, the Regent of the Kingdom of Hungary Miklós Horthy appointed a new government, which began cooperation with the head of the Jewish department in the Reich Main Security Office, Adolf Eichmann. From this it can be concluded that the Hungarian gendarmes were not so bad, rather they were not like the SS. Only when the Germans appeared in Hungary did it start.

The world devided in: "Jews" and "non-Jews" is a false simplification, which does not allow to understand those times correctly, especially in Hungary where a lot of nations lived together (Slovak, Romanian, Gypsy, Hungarians, Ukrainians, Serbs, Austrian, Polish, Croats and Jews). The background of living in such a society is much more that saying: "they" called me a dirty Jew. Saying this is completely uninformative, because "they" means nothing.
