I've read a lot of books, both fiction and autobiographical, on people's experiences in the Holocaust, and they were moving. But seeing an interview like this, virtually face to face, is so much more affecting. It's healthy to know these recordings are available.

“This act was life,” she said as the interview came to a close. Well done, madam.

The best interviewer of most of the interviewers that I have heard. She had obviously studied the Holocaust and was quiet polite and empathetic.

Rose Zar is fabulous! God bless this woman's soul. Rose is so strong, and has a great sense of humor. Her survival story is amazing. I could listen to her all day. She is fascinating. I am blessed to have heard her testimony. It always touches my heart, that so many Shoah survivors kept their humor, faith, & love for others, after enduring so much. Blessings. 🇺🇲🙏🏻🇬🇧❤🇮🇱

I recently read her book,In the Mouth of the Wolf, and it was incredible. The story was miraculous and terrible, and I couldn't put it down. This testimony was such an amazing thing to find because I want to know as much as I can about Rose's story, despite how tragic it was.

Too bad that the interviewer keeps cutting off her stream of memories, "That's not what I want to hear about, instead I want to hear about X!" :-(

That interviewer should have been immediately dismissed from this assignment. She was rude, abrupt, and even mean!

I think the interviewer is interfering too much. Let the Survivor tell her story. Stop redirecting her! It is her story. She is a primary source. The interviewer might have read information, but information can be wrong!

Pity the children did not integrate 2gether in school.....I feel that if u a born in a country u are a citaizan of that country and should live as one.....pity ignorance played a lot into what happen in WW2......and still it’s happening.....when u think bout it we all bleed the same red blood....

This is not Twitter (X). KZbin does not limit the characters utilized to make statements. It would be helpful to readers if you clarified your comment in English.

Rose keeps repeating her father was a gutsy hero for deserting the Russian army. If everyone who didn't want to fight deserted, who is left to protect the families/populace? Look at what happened in Poland at the start of the war. My gutsy heroes do things to protect other people. I don't condemn wanting personal comfort but you finish your service like everyone else and then go for personal comforts.
