When I was in my midtwenties l found out that I could not have children, due to a medical condition. The Rebbitzen's strength and dignity helped me through many emotionally painful times.

Its interesting that she does not appear to wear a wig , and only a small, and stylish hat..has the movement become stricter?

After arriving in the United States the Rebbe set new reforms that women should wear wigs; not scarves. Wigs had at one point been banned for religious wear in Russia. He felt that a woman would feel better about her looks in a wig, verses a scarf. The Chabad movement is about outreach. Helping Jews to become more religious. He also decided to no longer have his male followers wear the streimel, the fur hat that hassidic men wear. Because it might seem too strange for newly religious followers to accept. Also they are very expensive. Every Hasidic sect is different. In some women do no wear wigs, only scarves. In some they wear wigs, but not of human hair. Some wear a wig with something on top such as a hat or headband or scarf. It is called a covered wig. Men wear a scullcap, also called a kippa or yarmulka. And a men's hat on top of it. The type of hat they wear depends on what sect they belong to.,

At the beginning she didn’t cover her hair as you can see from her passport photo.

She was such a humble woman. May it be Hashem’s will I find a wife like her.
