We did an exercise with the Royal Thai Marine Corps and got 3 days to explore the country after. I have a distinct memory of being slightly drunk and seeing a Hasid emerge in contrast to all the Buddhist and Hindu shrines. I thought I was back home in Chicago. Wrapped tiffilin right then and there. Definitely a highlight in my 6 years in the Navy.

My old neighbors, Mr and Mrs Gralnik, were the kindest people. They were members of Chabad South Bay here in Los Angeles. I am not Jewish but they treated my family like family. My father traveled for work often and the neighborhood had its troubles. Al Gralnik always told me if anything bad was happening that my family and I were welcome over any time and he would make sure we were safe. As I grew up Al and I didn't always see eye to eye politically but we all had love for each other's families and I knew I could always count on Al for anything. He encouraged me to study hard, work hard, and listen to my parents. I miss Mr and Mrs Gralnik dearly. They truly lived their faith and sought to be of service to Jews and gentiles alike. Though I am not Jewish, the Rebbe indeed had a positive impact on my life through the Gralnik family.

I work in Crown Heights. I often pass by posters and stickers with the Rebbe's face on them. I am not Jewish (Catholic with a great deal of respect for my Abrahamic brothers and sisters) but the posters and stickers interested me. As a historian I appreciate the new context on his importance in modern Jewish history, and as a religious Catholic I always have a soft spot for people who spread religion and love from the goodness of their hearts whether they be the nuns in my family, the person in Forest Hills asking my ethically ambiguous self if Im Jewish for a blessing, or the Mormon missionary asking me to join them at their service. Much love ❤

As a foremost global spiritual leader, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, emphasized that God commanded the Jewish people, through Moses at Mount Sinai, to influence the people of the world to observe the Torah’s Seven Noahide Commandments. This mandate was transmitted through the generations and codified by Maimonides (Rambam). Despite the key importance of this mission, Jews were unable to fulfill it during most of their difficult history. The Rebbe explained that by Divine Providence, the freedoms of religion and speech in our modern societies make it possible - and thus obligatory - for Jews to now be involved in spreading out this much-needed universal message.

From sayings like "From the River to the Sea" (I bet you've never taken a moment to think about the meanings of this innocent phrase) to daily terrorist attacks (which isn't as cool as it sounds, it means stabbing random people on the street, blowing up bus stops, etc. ) and of course missile attacks on the civilian population. Let me answer your question: First: Not all Jewish people are Lubavitch, although its a popular concept in Judaism, Chabad endorses it a lot. The Government of Israel isn't Lubavitch, as far as I know. I even know there's been previous political figures there who openly opposed the movement. Second: Do you think Israel bombs it's neighbours for the fun of it? You know those bombs must cost a ton of money. You can notice it's always key locations that are bombed, wanna know why? Because they're trying to produce weapons simply because they want to destroy Israel. Fun Fact about the Yom Kippur war: The Israeli Government knew their enemies were planning on attacking, yet, no action was taken until after the war started. This was because they were scared of what the rest of the world would say if they bombed them. That fear cost over 2000 lives of innocent people.

Im sorry but you have a mistake on this. The rebbes views define chabad, not any chabad rabbi. In general the rebbe didn't give his opinion on who to vote for. I don't know why you think that anyone has a say in who chabad supports other than the rebbe himself.

Chabad stays non-involved in Israeli politics, theologically we are 1,000% anti-Zionists.
