Thank you! I go to a Messianic congregation that is always quoting Rashi, or the RamBam, but not Messiah Yeshua. When I pointed out that we have the greatest living rabbi in Yeshua, who rose from the dead, they say, “well, we are following the Jewish tradition.” I have no problem getting some wisdom from the RamBam, but some is not a whole services worth. Yeshua rose from the dead, not the RamBam!

@Robert Stephenson Modern bibles, including the NASB lie, change who God is and continually challenge God and His word by asking, Did God say? Come on, really? God said He preserved His word. Psalm 12:6-7. Most modern bibles do not. In other words they are not admitting that God has a standard, His inspired word. His word is quick (alive) and quickens (gives life). His word is eternal. Most of the modern bibles have at least one out and out lie. NKJB lies in Exodus 6:3. They began to call on the name of the Lord in Genesis 4:26. Others quote Jesus telling his brothers, i am not going to the feast. John 7:8. (Is he saying he is going to break the law of Moses?) He waits and then goes. Liar! BLASPHEMY . Jesus simply said, not going now, not yet. He waits and then goes. No problem, no lie. And blatantly they mock Jesus and unashamedly, constantly, with each change ask, Did God say? "All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. " John 1:3. Clearly He is the Creator. Their Jesus was but a vessel. "Made through him." Did God say Mark 11:26? Absolutely. It is an essential part of our walk with God. A verse that makes us tremble was added????? Did God say? Acts 15:34? It shows God's divine providence. Silas was there when Paul needed him for a journey. Obviously Silas remained there. BRAZENLY, they change or remove a word that gives the believers true power! Matthew 12:31 and Mark 9:29! Some spiritual warfare needs prayer and fasting! Did God say eleven (11) times in the New Testament the word damnation, eternal burning? Yes. But not in theirs! Did God say? Did God give three witnesses to that truth? Mark 9:44, 46, 48. They however only have v48. The other two they ask, Did God say? This is important because we need to know the truth and those who preach Annialism, we cease to exist, are easily proven wrong with these verses. Jesus is God and Jesus is Man. Hebrews supports this with four verses, 3:3, 7:24, 8:3 and 10:12: "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin for ever, sat down at rhe right hand of God; v10:12. They do not use the clarifying words 'this man' at all. Again, Did God say? Every change they make is an insult to God and His word. God said He would curse those who add to or take from His word. Revelation 22:18-19. In the Old Testament those who honored a false prophet received the reward of that prophet. So the Alexandrian translators, the bible societies the publishers, the promoters, sellers and those who teach from them (showing those ear tickling bibles as God's word) or honor them will be held responsible. If done ignorantly, repent. God will not be mocked. This happened when the inspired Antioch manuscripts called the Textus Receptus were replaced by the Alexandrian manuscripts called the Codex B or the Vaticanus from the Vatican basement, and the Sianiticus from a monestary. They do not agree with each other and the latter has about 30 changes per page. Obviously inspired by their spiritual father who brings conflict, frustration, despair and DOUBT. It is so great to hear the wisdom of Jews speaking about the Messiah Jesus/Yeshua. It’s great to understand the WHY, when it comes to the existence of the Talmud. Where did it come from? Why does it exist. Why is it the modern Jewish standard, even though the True standard is the Tenach (written word) and technically always has been the Tenach. This is one of those moment of, “If you have ears, hear”. You two have noticed the historical & scriptural discrepancies that the Talmud holds, compared to the Tenach. If a person is to truly follow God, it is important to recognize truthfulness from falseness. Because God does not partake in lies. I very much agree, It is import to understand the original document, in order to detect any counterfeits. And I believe that understanding the Tenach, and seeing how it directly connects to Jesus time and time again, will helps Jews realize they actually have not been properly serving Hashem as they thought. That only through the Messiah, can we serve our God correctly, and be free from the sin that binds us away from him. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach; AMEN!

@Robert Stephenson The name of Yahweh never fell of and was never forgotten. That’s why we say Halleluyah. I will never forget when King David called the Lord by his true name, JAH / YAH. Yeshua is the physical manifestations of the Word of YAH. The Word from the beginning that created the Heavens and the Earth.
@davideskerlot2945
@davideskerlot2945 Жыл бұрын
@Robert Stephenson Actually the English version usually say “I am the Lord your God”. I don’t remember that verse specifically saying “I am Yah, your God”. Look it up. The name Yahweh is usually used by the high priests or specific people who wanted to refer to God with his true name YAH. Perhaps in the Hebrew version it is used with YAH in this verse, but in the English version, his real name isn’t used in the verse, possibly because the Jews typically try to avoid using his real name most of the time. If Yah is used in the Hebrew version of this verse, no Jew will say Yahweh while reading it. Even though the name is there in front of their face. They will say Adonai, Elohim, or Hashem. Out of respect. It’s like they don’t want to mess up God’s name, so they use his titles instead. Like the word LORD. Lord is a title. The English translated Bibles use LORD in stead of Yahweh most of the time. Look it up. It’s no different when Jews say Hashem Elohim or Adonai. The Spanish translations of the Bible use the title SENOR (Sir, Mister) to show reverence to God, instead of saying Yahweh. Only in some books of the Bible is his name fully spoken. So it’s not only the Jews who use titles for God, English and Spanish-speaking Christians do the same. 💁🏻‍♂️💁🏻‍♂️💁🏻‍♂️
@davideskerlot2945
@davideskerlot2945 Жыл бұрын
@Robert Stephenson Also it’s important for you to understand that Yahweh is a God who made his first pact with the Jews first. And the Jews have made it custom to rarely say his true name, Yahweh. Since the days of Moses. So instead we use Adonai, Hashem, Elohim etc. So technically we are not worshipping another God, it is the same God, but most Jews prefer to not say his real name out or respect and reverence. So we say Elohim, or Hashem or Adonai instead. (Which are actually titles, not names). 💁🏻‍♂️. YAH is his actual real name however. Only in very specific cases would you hear a Jew directly say God’s real name. Like when King David prayed to him repeatedly during his exile, when he called him YAH. Or in a very special prayer service in the synagogue. If you ask for my opinion though, I don’t think God cares as long as you don’t use his real name in vain. As long as you don’t do that, he doesn’t care if you speak his name. That is my opinion.💁🏻‍♂️ Sometimes I say Hashem, sometimes I say Elohim, sometimes I say Adonai (the titles). And sometimes I say YAH or YAHWEH. (His actual name.) 😊.

@@karoljoseph7990 You hit the nail on the head for me with respect to the notion that if Aaron could be wrong than so could a Rabbi. I am a person who has family members in a cult who follow a cult leader (their Rabbi). As my nephew sat across from me at Christmas, while believing in Christ, he turned to the Talmud and Kaballism as the source to interpret scripture. He stated that the word "Mazzaroth" mentioned in Job 38, confirmed through the Talmud that astrology had been spoken of in the scriptures where he believed that God had expanded on this truth through the Talmud, thus has given license to delve into learning more about astrology as though a person would discover in the Talmud a much deeper understanding than in scripture alone. Just one word taken in isolation from the book of Job has created a sub doctrine that has been expanded on in the Talmud. The written word that preceded the Talmud takes precedence. The written word is the guidepost, not commentary from a person who could be wrong who would give personal interpretation.

Both the written Torah and the oral Torah are inseparable components since many parts of the Torah can not be understood without the oral tradition. The Torah states, "You shall slaughter your cattle… as I have commanded you" (Deut. 12:21), implying an oral commandment concerning ritual slaughter (shechitah). If someone really wants to understand the Talmud, I would rather get this knowledge from someone who has studied this in the original text. See here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX25YqF6pLOFmcU

I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon this video. I am a 72 year-old Christian/RCC. It is only in the last 7 years that I have devoted time to reading the scriptures, and it has been incredibly eye-opening. This interview gave me a lot of insights (many in their nascent form) into my own religious tradition. I too have seen a lot of religous traditions in my denomination that IMO have supplanted faith and scripture. I especially liked what this woman said about authority (Rabbinical) versus Scriptures; this IMO also applies to priests/clergy. Thank you for this very interesting video.

I think it is important for the interviewer to not flinch or seem exasperated as this woman Karol Joseph has very important things to say in terms of anyone who is feeling conflicted or unsure of who to listen to in their own faith walk. The Torah is the primary source that should take precedents. The Torah did not start as an "oral tradition". The Torah was written down. This is an extremely important point to be made and drilled home.

It was always a question in my mind as to why, when Israel had sinned re the molten calf, that Aaron seemed to have escaped penalty. But recently I found these verses which answered my question: Deu 9:16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you. (snip) Deu 9:19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also. Deu 9:20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.

Great topic! I have been really floored to find out some things recently about the Talmud. I had erroneously believed for years the Jewish people went by the Torah and Holy Scriptures only. It was actually a talk with Dennis Prager that really pinpointed one of the major differences between Christianity and Judaism (Of course Jesus as messiah being central) but that was that Jesus is really interested in not just our actions as Jews/Jewish law deals with, but our hearts! Our thought life (i.e. If you are angry with your brother, and If you look at a woman with lust....) Dennis Prager was having an important conversation about pornography and it was eye-opening to say the least. We have to answer to God for it all.

The torah and talmud are one. You cannot separate them. In Rabbinic Judaism, the Written Torah and the Oral Torah were both given to Moses at Mount Sinai: Written Torah: The biblical books of Genesis through Deuteronomy Oral Torah: The interpretation, expansion, and application of the Written Torah, passed down orally from Moses to his successors The Talmud: The book that collected the Oral Torah after it was written down. The Oral Law is considered to be authoritative and coexistent with the Written Law. The rabbis believed that the two laws are "two that are one" and that neither can exist without the other.

I am Catholic and I don't think that there's anything legally binding with God. His law is love (whish for the world and all the creatures to thrive), and I think He was very clear about it in the New Testament. There's no 'binding' when it comes to love, there's only 'freewilling', that is why we got a free will and a conscience as a direct connection to God. For me personally, there are no words spoken or written that come close to the Gospel; that text is so direct, clear, crispy clean, elegant and practical that there is no doubt in my mind that it comes directly from God Himself. It's the pinnacle of what we have on Earth. All the other texts that came from other people, no matter who they were, are for me just a reminder of this. It is obvious even in St Pauls texts that he is but a man, no matter how inspired and marked by his personal experience with God he was. The contrast between the struggle in his texts and the Old Testament on one side, and the lightness of Gospel on the other actually serves as a beautiful depiction of the relationship between a man and God. I think the information in the Old Testament, other later writings, or oral traditions are experiences of other people given to us as helpful information, as signposts, but the ultimate advice is in the Gospel, where God gives the ultimate message: to focus on fulfilling the potential He made us with instead of focusing on fearing sin. And where He gives us the ultimate weapon against sin - the information that when in sin it is enough for us to honestly wish in our heart to be with Him and He will free us. That is the most powerful message with unlimited potential of changing our lives and therefore, the only I am going to unconditionally follow.

Fantastic video-I agree with the message wholeheartedly. I will say that in the Book of Jubilees (which is still part of the Ethiopian Jewish and Christian canons and was found among the Dead Sea Scrolls), a version of the origin story of Abram's faith can be found: according to Jubilees, Abram's father was not the town idol-maker, but he was an idol worshiper along with the rest of the townspeople of Ur. Abram had his revelation concerning YHWH, and confronted his father and his brothers with what he learned (his brothers rebuffed him, while his father was sympathetic, but was afraid of the townspeople, and so he told Abram to be quiet). A few years went by, and Abram had enough; so he snuck in to the idol house one night and set it on fire. His brother Haran rushed in to save the idols and was burned up in the flames-so this is how Haran died while still in Ur. No one ever knew that Abram had started the fire; but Terah then took his remaining family and left the community, as Genesis and Jubilees both claim. Perhaps the Jewish tradition of this story had its origin in Jubilees; other traditions, like the complete separation of milk and meat, are simply fences around fences around fences around misunderstandings of the written Torah commandments.

Thank you Karol, I had a similar experience as a Catholic and it wasn’t until I purged everything that I thought I knew and started from scratch seeking God in His word that learned that I need no mediator or priest, neither should I pray to statues or to the dead. We all need to beware the yeast of the __________. I don’t understand how things became so twisted or blame anyone but maybe I needed to search deeper than I would have if it were handed to me.

Who Is Jesus the Christ? Your Question Will Be Answered Today, if you take the time to read. Amen! I love you Lord! Jesus The Messiah (Yeshua Ha Mashiach). Christ is our Living Passover(Our Living Sacrifice) Acts Chapter 4 verse 12: "There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.” Isaiah 9 vs. 6, "For unto us a Child is born. Unto us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.“ The Virgin Birth Christ, born of a virgin, Mary. Matthew Chapter 1 verse 20: "Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him (Joseph), in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for that (Christ) which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit." Jesus, the Christ, is God’s Word made into flesh. 1 John chapter 5 verse 7: "For there are 3 that bear a record in heaven, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these 3 are one.” John chapter 1 verse 1: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John chapter 1 verse 14: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John chapter 1 verse 10: "He was in the world, and the world knew Him not.” Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12: ”For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” John’s Vision Of Christ Seated On His Throne In Heaven: Revelation chapter 4 verse 2 to 3: "Immediately, I (John), was in the Spirit, and behold a throne sat in Heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance, and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.” Why did Christ Jesus came and sacrificed His precious life for sinners like us? Because through Adam’s disobedience, sin and death entered the world, and all human race. Christ came to undo the sin and eternal death brought upon the world through the sin of Adam. Christ, who is God’s Word made into flesh, sacrificed His life for us. He was crucified for our sins and transgressions. Christ died, and on the third day He resurrected in the flesh, conquering death and the grave. Now, Christ is seated in Heaven, at the right hand of Power (God the Father). Through Christ’s sacrifice we gain Salvation through God’s abundant mercy and grace. We are reconciled and recompensed back to God, through the shed blood of His begotten Son, Christ Jesus. John chapter 3 verse 16: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” Romans chapter 5 verse 8: "But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Death in Adam, Life In Christ: Romans chapter 5 verse 19: "For as by one man’s (Adam’s) disobedience, many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s(Jesus's) obedience, many will be made righteous.” Romans chapter 5 verse 18: "Therefore, as through one man’s (Adam’s) offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even through one Man’s (Christ’s) righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in the justification of life.” Romans chapter 5 verse 17: "For if by the one man’s offense (Adam’s offense), death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in the life through the One (Jesus Christ)." Romans chapter 5 verse 12: ” Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” Romans chapter 5 verse 21: “So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Through Adam, sin and death entered the world, so that is why Christ Jesus came to give life, and give it more abundantly. Yes, Christ came to give eternal life through Salvation. The Salvation of His shed blood, and resurrection. Adam’s flesh brought sin, death, destruction, and condemnation. 1 Corinthians 15 : 21-22, “For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ, all shall be made alive.” Christ’s sacrifice, the crucifixion of His flesh, brings reconciliation of sins, resurrection, eternal life, salvation. Christ is coming back again, not as a sacrificial lamb. He is coming back as a roaring, warring lion, to destroy sin, death, and the grave once and for all. Amen! Halleluyah! Revelation chapter 22 verse 12 to 13: "And behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.“ Now do you see friends, why Christ Jesus is so Important for our Salvation? Yes. Now, do you understand why there is only 1 way to God, and that is only through Christ Jesus? Yes. Christ is Salvation. Christ is our Lord and Saviour. Christ is the only way to God. Christ is the only Mediator between God and men (us humans). God loves us so much, He does not want anyone to perish in hell. God wants all sinners to be saved. That is why He sent His Word to save the world. God’s Word became flesh, and dwelt among us to save us. Will you accept Christ and be saved? Your eternity depends on it. What happens after death is what is most important. Where will you spend eternity? Death is only the beginning of the next life. Romans chapter 6 verse 23: ” For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” John Chapter 3 verse 16: ” For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” Salvation is free! Christ already paid the price, all you have to do is receive salvation through acceptance of Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach. So who is Christ? He is the Word Of God made into flesh. He is the Son of God. He is God. He is the Image of the Invisible God. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is the Beginning and the End. He is the Great I Am. He is Emmanuel. He is the Christ. He is the Messiah. He is the Creator. He is our Lord and Saviour. He is our Mediator. He is the Lion and the Lamb. He is the Rock not cut out by human hands. He is the Root of David. He is Salvation. He is the Way, the Truth, and Life. He is the blessing promised to Abraham. He is the Gift of God to the whole world. God created the heavens and the earth with His spoken Word. Did you know that Jesus is that Word, through which all things were created? Yes. John chapter 14 verse 6: "Jesus said to him,” I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Colossians chapter 1 verse 15 to 16: "He is the Image of the Invisible God, the Firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” John chapter 1 verse 1 to 4: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” Christ is for all who will receive Him. Will you receive Him today? This is how our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said we should pray. Matthew chapter 6 verse 9 to 13: KJV “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Now that you understand who Christ is, share Christ with others. Christ is The Good News. What do we do with good news? We share it. Amen! Repent of your sins. Leave a lifestyle of sin. Sin no more! Be baptized in Jesus Name. Submit to God. Love God with all your heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. Keep God’s Commandments, (read Exodus 20: 1- 17, see the 10 Commandments of God). Love one another. Forgive one another. It is written, “resist the devil, submit to God, and the devil will flee from you.” Hate sin with all your heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. * Hebrews 10: 26, KJV, " For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." Acts 11 vs. 15 to 16, ” And as I began to speak, The Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, “John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” Psalm 68, verse 4 KJV: " Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, by His name Yah, and rejoice exceedingly." Halleluyah! Lord Jesus, The Living Water! Baptize me, with your Holy Spirit! Please write my name in Your Book of Life. You are my Lord and Saviour, from now on, and for ever. Never leave me, nor forsake me. I belong to You. I forsake this world, sin, and all worldy distractions. I make you priority in my life. Please remove all agents and devices of "the evil one" from me, and from my body. Thank You Lord!

It seems to all come down to this moment in time: 18Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. 19Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”20And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” 21So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.

Noahide law is antichristian and claims Jesus is an idol and those who worship Jesus as God are fit for beheading if they wont repent. These satanic blasphemies originate from the rabbinic Talmudic doctrine. How these wicked laws ever made it into US law, is something that no one can comprehend. Except for understanding what Paul rebuked in his own day as the sorcery of Elymas the Jew in the book of Acts. This is why any Christian who calls God "Hashem" is misled and deceived by their kabblistiic sorcery. Sympathy for an antichristian religion is what is wrong with Christianity in America and the world today. St John warned that his former religion was godless, son denying, and a spirit of antichrist and deception. 1 John 2:22-23,1 John 4:3,2 John 7.

It is in the Tanach Joshua 24:2 "...Terah, the father of Abraham...served other gods." The Talmud is an oral tradition and it explains how to perform sacrifices, how to wear tefillin or tzitzit, etc... things all mentioned in the Torah, if you were to just read it, you'd be confused. The Talmud is not a religion and a doctrine that has been distorted to suit the life of the earth and has no relationship with God and judgment. So, you are wasting your life in vain in the hope of joining Paradise, but you are under the influence of loss and destruction. As for the Islamic religion, it is the correct one, and its significance is the Kaaba and the steps that were from ancient times. It is an easy religion that does not require much of you, and its reward is entry into Paradise.

To be honest I don’t think a Congregation can be truly Messianic if it cherry-picks elements of the New Testament while mostly keeping to the Talmudic tradition and Ha-Lachah. There is no doubt some analytical cleverness, some inspiring stories and some interesting practical points in the Talmudic literature, yet the fact remains that the Oral Law is, after all, a testimony of the Rabbis’ rejection of the Mashiach. -E.K.

Just to begin with... 1) The Talmud has not expanded. It was finalized around the year 475. The only revisions were as a result of the oppression from the Catholic Church. 2) Your statement that "much of it that is not true" must be understood from the style of Aggadata vs. Halacha 3) Both the written Torah and the oral Torah are inseparable components since many parts of the Torah can not be understood without the oral tradition.

Torah is equivalent to statutes, the law. Talmud is equivalent to court decisions that interpret the law. Torah says the we shall not labor or perform work on Shabbat but it does not define those terms. For example, the greatest mitzvah is charity. If a poor and hungry person comes to your home on Shabbat and asks for food what should you do. It is charity versus Shabbat law. The Talmud has a rather long discussion on this subject and aids in determining the proper action. Talmud does not change the law. Rather it helps explain how the law works. In the end each individual must determine for themselves what is right.

That is promoting sola scriptura, though. Even in the New Testament, one is told to accept and teach all that was handed down from the Apostles or “apostolic tradition.” That, to me, seems to point to a biblical tradition of authority or a Magisterium starting with Moses and the priests and culminating in the Messiah and his teachings. “ ESV So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter.” II Thessalonians 2:15
