Thank you, Rabbi. This was a very enlightening and important piece of information for all those who read the Talmud and also for us Christians. I knew there are mentions of Yeshua (usually negative) in the Talmud due to the alienation of the Jews and Christians, but you showed that the official verson of Talmud says "Yeshua, the son". "Week of the son" as you said is an interesting concept. Yeshua (Jesus) said of himself that he is the Lord of the Sabbath. Sabbath is very important to the Jews. I believe that Yeshua gave the Sabbath to the Jews. Which one is bigger: a day or the one who gave it! And even more: Yeshua is the Sabbath of the Jews. He's the Sabbath of all the nations (non-Jews). God bless you, rabbi.

I don't speak Hebrew fluently, I am a native born UK resident, but I am given to understand the name Yeshuah, or Yehoshua(Joshua in the Nevi'im) means salvation(to deliver/to rescue), you say the name was changed and a Hey had been added to the name, which would almost certainly be an attempt to hide the facts, and deny the Jewish people the chance to obtain the salvation offered by Yeshua the Rabbi, who came for the lost of Israel. You didn't add the reaction of the Orthodox Rabbi, but having spoken to a Rabbi in a local Lubavitch House near where I used to live in North London where I grew up many years ago, before I moved out of London, I am aware they keep their cards close to their chest. All of the Greek concepts were derived from ancient Egypt.

I believe there is also wisdom and revelation of God in the Talmud, Midrash, Kabbalah and all the other Jewish sources as well because even though we belong to different convenants, we worship the same God and share the same scriptures, so God has given some degree of wisdom and revelations in these sources especially about Messiah Yeshua, God is trying to connect us, and wants to bring Jews to Yeshua that they may be saved.

I looked into this verse. It mentions nothing of the Messiah how can it be J. If you look into the commentaries the week of the son or salvation of the son is talking about a circumcision. Not about the Messiah. That term was used to hide the fact we were talking about a religious ritual which was forbidden by the non Jewish authorities at that time. Read part of what this Rabbi said. There are decrees against us observing our religion. So clearly they will not say doing a circumcision outright. Nothing about a Messiahs. Here is a commentary from a site is actually put out by non Jews on the verse he claims is about J. Nothing in this about a son saving us from sin and dying for us. This so clearly is not J. [H] I.e., the rite of circumcision. [So Rashb. and Rashi, Sanh. 32b. This term is said to have been adopted by the Jews as a disguise during the Hadrianic persecutions when the rite was prohibited in order to remove any suspicion that they were engaged in a religious observance. Others explain the term as denoting the seven days festivities that followed the birth of a child. V. Bergmann. J., M.G.W.J. 1932, 465ff; and cf. Krauss, op. cit. II, 438. The expression 'the week of the daughter', [H] also occurs in Nahmanides' Torath Ha'adam, 35b. This is to be taken as a proof against the usual identification of 'the week of the son' with 'the rite of circumcision', v. Mann J. H.U.C. 1924, p. 325, n. 3.] As always this Rabbi believes in the tampered with and verses taking things out of context to put J were he is not. I bet he can't find any real Jewish commentaries to say this part was talking about the Messiah and even J. Just the Christian interpretation like this guy uses.

It really is a very interesting text. although the talmud is not an inspired book, its study brings us many interesting insights into who Jesus was in the opinion of the rabbis. While some opinions were bad, others were not only good, but they help us to better understand the context of New Testament books, such as that of Revelation, as well quoted by Rabbi Shulam. There is something that should be pointed out: the Tribulation does not last for seven years. The Tribulation lasts for 3½ years. We know this by various means: Jesus said that the Tribulation begins when the Abomination of Desolation mentioned by Daniel stands in the Holy Place. This is a reference to Daniel 12:11, which itself references Daniel 9:27. From these three passages, it appears that the Tribulation begins in the middle of the last "week". Daniel 12 says it lasts for 1,290 days. That is roughly 3½ years, but that is nowhere near seven years. Daniel also refers to it as "time, times, and half a time", which is 1 + 2 +½ = 3½ years. The seven bowls of God's wrath are not spaced out one per year over seven years. They are all concentrated into that 3½ year period, and the Two Witnesses appear to be involved in calling down these plagues. Notice that in Revelation 11, the two witnesses are said to be able to stop the rain and call down plagues: REVELATION 11:1-6 1 Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, 2 but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months. 3 And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” 4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5 And if anyone would harm them, fire pours from their mouth and consumes their foes. If anyone would harm them, this is how he is doomed to be killed. 6 They have the power to shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire. - These are the signature miracles of Elijah and Moses. James 5:17 says that Elijah stopped the rain for 3½ years (oddly, 1 Kings 17 doesn't even say that it was 3½ years). Moses turned water into blood and called down plagues on Egypt. Elijah and Moses were the two witnesses from Heaven during Jesus' transfiguration, and Malachi name-drops Moses out of nowhere right before foretelling that Elijah would come before the day of Yehováh. I think the two witnesses are very likely to be Elijah and Moses. Well, if you look at the seven bowls of God's wrath in Revelation 16, all but two of them seem to be repeats of the Exodus plagues. The two exceptions are the fourth and sixth bowls, but even the sixth bowl (releasing the spirits to call the nations to Armageddon) mentions that these spirits are like frogs, which is evocative of the plague of frogs. It would seem that Moses, one of the two witnesses, may be the one who calls down the seven bowls of God's wrath. But if so, this doesn't happen over seven years. Revelation 11 says that the period of the ministry of these two witnesses is 1,260 days, which is 3½ years of 360 days per year. All this is to say that the Tribulation isn't seven years long, it's only half of that, and the bowls of God's wrath are poured out during that time, and the Two Witnesses appear to be instrumental in calling these down. And the Two Witnesses are Elijah and Moses.

I asked this channel as well as I know Jews see Satan as am important factor to mankind and an Angel who has no free will etc. Yet it plainly says in the old Testament that Nephilim came and laid with women creating giants which mean they made a choice to walk out of the will of God. Many Christians do not realize that the 7 year tribulation predicted in the Book of the Revelation was supposed to have occurred in the first century; who knows - maybe in 70 A.D.! But when Israel's leading rabbis, that had repeatedly rejected the idea that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah they were waiting for, rejected him for the final time in Acts 28:28-31, King James version, that is when Israel's prophetic time clock stopped and God granted them a final divorce which he never plans to overturn. All of Israel's unfulfilled prophecy has been canceled and salvation, instead of being offered corporately as to an entire nation, began at that point to be offered individually (and retroactively to those faithful of God's dealings with the world through his development of his chosen people). The "one new man" of Ephesians 2:15 KJV will be made up of the Jewish saints of old and those (without regard to their nationality or genetics) that have placed their faith in Jesus Christ since the close of the Acts period, and all on an individual basis. I say this because there is a danger of the Jews that have trusted Yeshua in these modern times erroneously believing that their Jewishness makes them eligible for a special type of salvation connected with the idea that "all Israel shall be saved." Eternal life is being offered to all without distinction through the gift in Ephesians 2:8 & 9 KJV, which is a gift without any strings or works of the law involved in it, and without regard to ethnicity. This free gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ that can never be forfeited even by future unbelief (Ephesians 4:30 KJV) and contains no laws or commandments (because Jesus fulfilled them for all), cancels out the requirements of any gospel that has gone before this gospel was preached in the final two books of the Bible, Ephesians and Colossians (Col. 1:24-25 KJV). This is very important because adding laws or works to the free gift nullifies the grace of God that produced it according to the mystery revealed in Ephesians 3:9 KJV. We need to get it right and keep it right to avoid confusion!

Because it’s always had a Ye sound to it. No one knows what his full name was in Hebrew. Except that he was called Yeshua among the Yahudi’s. So, if you want to be accurate you either say his name in Greek Iesous or what’s recorded in the Talmud Yeshua because those are the only references we have regarding his name.

Although the Talmud may have some true information in it it almost certainly disparages Yeshua and is thus a blasphemous book. Any real Christian should not put a lot of stock in it. This is hilarious! I’m an Orthodox Jew who is a Talmud scholar and I have never seen such a bad translation. The two opinions are either the week of the son for circumcision as it was customary in those times to spend a week before the actual event would took place celebrating. And this week event was banned by the Romans. The second version which was put in brackets is referring to redeeming the firstborn which every Jewish male must be redeemed if he is the firstborn of his father. This self claimed Rabbi is glossing over that to further his agenda and all the Christians who have never opened a Talmud in their life are licking it up 😂😂😂

Elder brother, do not dismiss my faith so easily by saying "so-called disciples of Yeshua". I possess in the Catholic [grk. universal] Church the fulness of revelation of Jesus. I won't comment much on your theory, even though it is interesting how you made the connection from the rabbinic literature to the seven vials of the wrath of God from Revelation, because I am increasingly convinced that many descriptions from the Revelation apply to the events in the first centuries. But I must strongly object to the assertion that Christianity split from Judaism "in the late second, third, beginning of the fourth century" that you make around in 13:30. Nay, the Church was created at Pentecost, and they first called us Christian in Antioch.
