I got my Juno-106 for $400. Sent it to the Synth Spa on ebay and for $250 had the it restored including the battery, a new 3 prong power cord, and all voice chips replaced. Now it will be 100% for 25 years!

Just want to say I have been enjoying your videos and music for a while now. I finally broke down and bought a Juno 106 after having fallen in love with one I broworred a long long time ago. Your vidoes were definitley an influence.

The sound you get out from these machines is just amazing! I have no Idea how long does it take for you to put these demos together, bet they sure as hell leave me speechless.

4:10 - such deep analogue pads. This synth has only one oscillator per voice and even with that sounds very warm.

oh, god, the quiet ambient part at 1:40 i've always loved that kind of wavering tone, I always figured artists that used it were sampling from old and warped records or tapes, or even film reels, that kind of tone reminds me of, like, old nature or space documentaries

you nailed that description right on! haha. If I had more money, I'd also get the juno 106. But I'm settling for the Hs-60. Either way, Jexus makes anything awesome out of anything.

Just amazing what you make with these machines! If you love vintage synthesizers you should get the German three CD set "Synthesizer von gestern" (Synthesizers from yesterday) from Originalton West. The set contains a lot of specially composed tracks that show what old synths were able to do.

i just saw the word Akai...I just bought that too. It looked stupid to me but if my daughter needs it to assist in the Juno 106, I guess I can't sell that either...lemme know if this is the same thing. I am still looking for accessories, only came with batteries. guess I need amp and power chord, but on the responses here, I see the same brand name...but, it's not the same numbers...its AKAI professional XR20. so these two things work together? I was ready to sell this AKAI so I could pay for the amp and the power chord...so much to learn. drags because I am not into music, my kids are.

Hey bro - are these all patches that you have created rather than presets? I like what you've done. Read your website and I love your philosophy on gear that the more you have doesn't mean you'll be able to do more rad stuff. I'm waiting for a Juno 106 to be shipped at the moment - can't wait to get my hands dirty - I'm a little nervous that it mightn't be able to do "everything" (compared to Omnisphere haha) but on the same hand looking forward to work within its limitations to achieve some cool stuff! ...and not having to worry about my computer crashing!!!
@donallfinn7 жыл бұрын
Well, by now you've probably learned 2 things: 1. The Juno can't even do a fraction of what your soft synths can 2. #1 doesn't matter because the Juno sounds so much better than any soft synth you've ever heard, that you probably use the Juno for everything now.
@jjmifsud36186 жыл бұрын
As someone who owns and writes on a LOT of softsynths and just got my MKS7 this weekend (Juno in a box) - you are so completely correct on this

Gabriel Allen Juno 106 because not only it introduces you to subtractive synthesis, but it sounds great! Most Juno 106 synths cost more on eBay than the Korg Minilogue, which is technically a better synth

I was replying about the CS80 post. I did own a Juno 106 and a Juno 2, they were fine back in the days, but seriously today I wouldn't buy one. Now a Jupiter 8 or even a JX-10 I wouldn't mind at all!!!
