Man, actually very impressive. One of the best synth demos, showing us the borderlands instead of the convenient tame pop sounds.
@mcblahflooper947 жыл бұрын
I guess the main difference between Jexus and other (average) synth demoers is that most synth demos show what a synth is typically used for/what it can do. Jexus shows you the furthest limits a synth can be used for, he takes them and stretches them to their furthest applicable use.
@samsamba0815 жыл бұрын
Kudos, once again. Not only are you a kick ass programmer, your demos are always fun to watch because you play something else than just the usual "C triad". I've NEVER head a Polysix sound so damn inspiring!!! *thumbs up*

Ok... you are sick at this synth!!!! Never heard someone who was that versatile. Bravo for doing a demo that is not boring but very inspiring! And nice video editing by the way:D
@PulseEmitter15 жыл бұрын
you're the best Jexus, your synth demos are awe inspiring. the analog video mixing, weird footage mix-ins, quality of keyboard playing and programming... turning the youtube synth demo into art. please keep it up.

I guess when you want to get a good demo of the possibilities of a synth you have to check this guys demos first...

Legendary sound! I can't believe how some people I've spoken with thinks the Polysix sounds terrible, kinda shows their knowledge.. This makes some of the most beautiful sounds I've heard from a synthesizer.
@barrabasi11 жыл бұрын
Hey dude, loved your videos. They're actually very artistic (both visually and sonically) and educational..kind of a very...er..."dubstep" way of teaching about the sounds and modulation possibilities and resources of very specific synths. Cheers!
@UltramarineAfterglow6 жыл бұрын
These works transcend time. I bought some of these synths myself and still make music but nothing like this lol. Glad the vids are still up.

Polysix was my first synth! I traded two garbage Numark belt driven turntables into a pawnshop for it in 2003 but unfortunately it fell victim to the battery leak issue and I know nothing about soldering. I ended up trading it for a red Sh-101 and a microkorg and that’s when the synth addiction started

I bet he makes these videos on an old vhs camcorder and edits them with some prehistoric editing stuff. It's kinda editing you see in the 80s movies, so it must be from that era. Great non the less.

Dude, never underestimate the cheap, single oscillator polysynths which happen to be ANALOG... they're the equivalent of a Marshall Plexi... simple but thick as a brick
@hectorjcm8006 жыл бұрын
Donal Finn hahaha how's destiny that I happened to watch this vid 5 years later... Yes it sucks they way these have gone up, but believe me mate, I still have the Polysix, and must say the new analogs coming out from several manufacturers are well worth a try... Don't let the snobbish bastards fool you!

Wow, just wow. Perfect tunes! I'm making a film set in the early 80s, and I need some good synth music compositions. What are your rules as far as using one of these demos in a film? To what name would I credit?
@iv0luti0n13 жыл бұрын
@Mazzipunk Jexus thinks comparing the two is a complete waste of time as they're completely different synths. Read his reviews on his website.
