What a pathetic display of how to run a powerlifting meet in regards to the squat, and this commentator honestly ruined the event for me, I didn't even want to watch because of how painful she was to listen to, I never thought a bad commentator could have damaged an event this much.

Eddie Hall is 6'3" 186kg, Jezza is 5'8" 185kg. Eddie would have to weigh ~204kg to have the same weight:height ratio as Jezza. That would certainly fuck with his pull. Eddie is also most certainly on some sauce that IPF/affiliate lifters cannot get away with.

I respect the hell out of Eddie Hall and he is a monster, but that said, all his big lifts are with straps or on some strongman variation that, while heavier, pound for pound make it easier than a conventional powerlifting deadlift. IIRC the strongest standard deadlift with no straps is still my boy benni magnusson with is 1008 lbs.
