The main question is why would the odds change so drastically, and specifically, on an already active objective pack? And we know they can be changed as they were obviously amended after 90 mins of giving 100% odds of Haaland. So if odds can be changed, why were they?

I think the REAL main takeaway here isn't to do with how incompetent or predatory EA is. I think the real question should be "if a pack is able to be coded (even if its by mistake) to only give out a certain card, are packs truly random then?". Even if this is excluding store packs as they have probabilities attached to them, SBC packs such as 87+ icon or whatever could be coded in such a way where its made to ONLY give out certain icons. This is a thing ppl talk about when they refer to a certain packs "rotation" but up until now its just been speculation. I think legally EA would be allowed to make packs only give out what they want (e.g. withhold the really good cards) if the packs are from an SBC as the user isn't purchasing them with 'money' so they dont have to have their weighting disclosed or even be fair i guess. And if there is something shady that EA can do and get away with legally, I'm almost 100% certain that they WILL do that thing.

That’s very true. We’ve always known, just like the handicap and scripting, but all we got was anecdotal evidence. If this was on purpose, it would probably be grounds for huge lawsuits and bans of the fifa points market wherever there’s respect for its citizens. If this was not on purpose, they still fixed it in 90 min, which means adjusting pack weigh is extremely easy for them and arguably the thing they do the most to control the market and keep people hooked. The only truly correct way for us to react is to stop playing this mode… but that’s not going to happen because we behave like crackheads.

There is no rotation. It's just odds, probably attached to the players prices. Of course in the 87+ icon pack u have 0.1% to pack a 2mil icon and probably 90% to pack a icon under 200k

Did all of you miss pack gate? Its like noone remembers this its not even that long ago. People could influence their packweight there was a debug or something in the online futapp and you could see and change the weight of your pulls. Its not random at all. Somehow everyone seems to have forgotten

All they need to do, legally, is to state what percentage of a given paid pack promises for specific card types. Keeping a baseline bad set of odds and then boosting them for short periods wouldn’t create many problems for them, legally. But what it means for us, players, is that we’re constantly manipulated by them.

What I noticed this year, and prior years with glitched packs/picks like this is that all of the ratty players always have these players. All of the dda, unlucky bs games the opponent always have the undeserved players. It's like they do it on purpose.

Fairest compensation IMO if EA cares (they don't) Those who opened the pack early, you get Haaland. Those who got Haaland but didn't get a chance to get something better, you get a pack. EA changes the Haaland WW Striker card to quicksell value for what it was pre mistake so the tradable owners don't get screwed.

They are switching up the packs these “mistakes” happen to, to try and throw people off the scent. If they did this with a store pack again everybody would 1 million percent know it was intentional. Putting it in an objective pack (specifically gameplay objective) makes people unsure. It basically created a load of people who hadn’t played much to go and hammer games to try and get the haaland before it gets nerfed. I still think it’s so obvious what they’re doing. We aren’t paranoid or conspiracy theorists… we just ain’t blind either 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think you are giving them far too much credit mate, they are generally a inept company who can’t get something right without breaking another part of the game…I highly doubt they plan these errors, they are completely useless and have been for the last 8 years. The coding is broken and rather than being pro-active and re-writing it for a new game, they just copy it over and edit it which is lazy and causes more problems. People who think they are clever enough to make these mistakes on purpose, definitely don’t know EA well enough in my opinion.

Seriously this game is a joke. Besides all the pack glitch every couple days the DDA feels worse them ever. This WL i almost lost my mind. - My player running with sprint animation slower then normal jockey just that defender can catch up - full loaded R1 pass went like 3 meters to opponent so he can score the 3:3 in 89. minute - enemie scores 3 goals in a row while my defender are not moving and not responding to player switch Sorry but i think a free Haaland for 0,7% of the player is nothing compared to the real problems with this game

"Impacted players" are those who opened the pack in the window as they did not receive the pack as promised. So theyll get another pack. It's ridiculous but it's EA making sure they deliver what was advertised, regardless of the inequity involved. It's like a few years ago when peoplegot a tradable rather than an untradable icon. They got to keep and sell the icon and they got another untradable one.

The problem with this situation that will be ignored is that it will/has created resentment. If you have Haaland, there will be ppl who have anger towards you bc they don't. If they score on you fully expect a griddy and/or a message. That's the kind of community this game has. EA is fully aware that even if they mess up it doesn't matter for them, bc ppl cry about the game anyway and still spend money so ignore the tears...and players who benefited get to be body shields. Gameplay has been atrocious again. Dribbling was crazy bad for me in wl. Most goals, either finesse, or bouncing through while i, or "someone else" tackles and should get the ball. Luckily, i didnt see Haaland, but still, kinda unfair to spend money on a game to get shit, and then get shitted on by a free Haaland. Imagine that, huh guys :( 4 months in and game is still bad. Do we get 1/4 refund or? :I Not to mention the p2w aspect, or all other problems around this game. And the glitches and bugs add to the frustration every time you give the game just one more chance.. If this game was on disc, it would have stacked a billion airmiles, because of people throwing it away. And the way it runs.. My pc is scared for this game, while i can play rust on max setting where i have to load a giga map, with 600 players, with no issues at all.
