Comedic Actors can surprisingly carry themselves well in dramatic roles (i.e. Steve Carrell, Jim Carrey, Seth Rogen)

The sweat wasnt scripted, but it added so fucking much to this scene. "a happy little accident", Bob Ross would call it.

candys portrayal of andrews is nothing short of dramatic excellence. the super tight shot of his face at the climax is so effective... everything about this movie was Oscar worthy.

When this movie was made, Kevin Costner was one of the top movie actors in Hollywood, and here is funny man John Candy holding his own and then some with him, shows how great Candy really was.

Never saw this before. Great scene by the late John Candy. Comedic actors are often very capable of doing serious work; see Richard Pryor. He also had a dramatic moments in Planes, Trains and Uncle Buck that people never seem to notice.
