This was fascinating. I’ve heard him tell the story of the assassination before, and he was quite professional and matter of fact about it. Did not discuss his feelings. But now hearing the backstory of his relationship with them really puts things into perspective. He was there for the birth of their children and so many important events. Cannot imagine how horrible the grief and guilt must have been. He literally tried to throw himself over the first family. What a courageous person. Fantastic memory as well.

This fine man was one of the relatively few people to see the actual size of JFKs fatal head wound...there is controversy about the size and location of said wound--but Mr. Hill has said that he got a good look at the wound...I wish he would address this gruesome issue, in order to clear up the controversy...for example, the brain was removed at autopsy, and put in a solution to preserve it...Yet several witnesses to the head wound, both at Parkland, and later on at the autopsy, state that most of his brains was blown out-missing!...That cannot be, unless the autopsy doctors were lying in their final reports.....and lying at that level just does not make any sense.

Could this answer a question: My dad was a Captain in the U.S.A.F. stationed on the Strategic Air Command base, Biggs AFB in El Paso. He was or had been the Commander of the Combat Defense Sqdrn there. I just read in his very short autobiography that he was assigned to protect President Kennedy while he was in Dallas. That's all he said; he wasn't one to talk about his years in the Air Force, either during his time in the OSI or his years at Biggs A.F.B., so that's al he wrote.

Mr. Hill’s book “Mrs. Kennedy and Me” clearly shows the love and respect that he had for both President and Mrs. Kennedy. Because he worked directly for Mrs. Kennedy, he was obviously closer to her. In his book, Mr. Hill said that after working for President Eisenhower, it was very refreshing to have President Kennedy, who actually remembered the names of all of the Secret Service agents. Also, President Kennedy was a man who would always take the time to engage the agents in conversation - inquiring about their families, etc.

Another question is why the secret service agent who rushed forward to JFK during the assassination was Jackie's protector. The ones assigned to protect the president were unresponsive -- after three gun shots.
@Kayte-tv2cw4 жыл бұрын
Mr. Hill went above and beyond that day in Dallas. He started running from the Secret Service follow up car immediately after the first shot hit the President, and he reached the car immediately after the fatal headshot - so he really put himself in the line of fire that day. In his book, Mr. Hill made it extremely clear that he grew to love both the First Lady and the President, their children, and the family of President Kennedy. Mrs. Kennedy requested that Mr. Hill receive the highest medal of bravery given by the Secret Service Agency for his bravery on November 22, 1963. The ceremony in honor of Mr. Hill was held within 2 weeks of the assassination. Mrs. Kennedy, still in deep grief, was in attendance.

These are good questions which no one wants to ask Mr Hill. Of course he has been of great service to the country, serving under almost a half dozen Presidents, including Johnson . So his alliance is with the SS, and not to the Kennedys for which he is so well known for. This should be said, out loud. He knows a lot more about what happened with the SS fails, there is NO DOUBT.
