I don't think you gave a fair review on Deflection and draw as where you changed to a Kamui tip for the Preditor you should had done the same thing for the J Flowers tip because the tip that comes with the JF is terrible for draw and is hard, it's Bad period compared to the Kamui, especially Kamui Soft.

I think the price of buy a whole cue from Jflower can only buy the shaft of the revo, if you are ok to have a bit of deflection from Jflower if claim was true.

My 314-3 plays very well, the only knock i had on the Victory soft tip was i had to touch it up after every session...swapped it out for a Mako Pro-V2 n it's pretty sweet. When I step up to C/F, it'll be with the guys that developed what everybody else copies...Predator. Just like there's only one Tacoma...sure a Nissan will get ya down the freeway...but head into the canyons or the desert n I see mostly Tacomas...go figure.Oh n the Revo is cheaper? case closed.

I use a predator 5k7 with a z2shaft and a kamui clear soft, tip. Works fine in all the different games. I he next tip I will try will be a kamui clear extra soft . I will see what it does. I also think there’s a lot more feeling with softer tips, and I believe that the shafts will receive less shock from impact, resulting in better accuracy and much longer shaft life. Thank you 😊 🎱🎱🎱🎱🥂🥃🍻

OPPOSITE. SOFT TIPS YOU FEEL MORE IN THE CUE. AS THE SOFT TIP IS ABSORBING THE MASS OF THE CUE BALL. TRY A HARD TIP LIKE A WATER BUFFALO TIP, YOU WONT EVEN FEEL THE CUE BALL LEAVE YOUR CUE. JUST LAUNCHES. THATS WHY THE HARD TIPS MAKE GREAT BREAK TIPS/BREAK CUES. MORE SPEED ON THE CUE BALL.

I have a J Flowers cue and I'd choose that over the predator just based on feel and price. You can get J Flowers Cues for the $300 range, which is less than an individual revo shaft. I remember being anti carbon fiber because I thought it was a gimmick (like everyone else). I tried the revo shaft and didn't like the "tink" feel. My buddy bought a J Flowers and I tried it, was surprised how much I loved it, bought one myself. It's basically my only player. I didn't like the Moori Tip on it, swapped it with a tiger layered Hard tip, and boy does it sing. I break with it too lol, so far so good! Since I recently got an 11.8 Cuetec Cynergy for my Mezz, I've been using that, but the J Flowers will always be a good backup cue or if i want to bring something to a bar in a 1x1. I did try to Mezz Ignite, but didn't get to play long enough to get a better impression...plus it's the most $$$ of all of them, but maybe one day I'll get one lol.

I currently play with a Mezz butt with the 12.5 Cynergy. I sold my Ignite because it had too much power and not enough feel. Ignite built quality seemed the best of all the CF shafts I've tried. What Mezz butt do you use?

@wilkamania Жыл бұрын
@@brandoncharles4781 I didn't know they offered 11.8! I also felt the smaller diameter was nice to see where I was hitting, but it did bring out inconsistencies in my stroke. I think the 12.4mm shaft will be more versatile. I did get a mezz which is 12.2mm, i find that a good middle ground.

With carbon shafts deflection is all the same, the only factors that have influence are tip, ferrule material and taper, unlike wood, carbon has always pretty much the same density, so regardless of which carbon shaft you use, it will always have much less deflection when compared to wood… still if you’re not going to use a carbon butt you will be getting about 50% of it’s potential depending a lot on the quality of the cue you have.

I really dont know alot about CF, but my friend shoots a SVB with the standard 12.5 med. tip. He asked to shoot my new J Flower with a soft tip, and he loved the J Flower. He is a good shooter and says for $319. He buy it over his SVB cuetec. Personally, I am just a beginner but it give me a straight shot and shows my stroke flaws....which lets me work on them because I cant make excuses and it gives me confidence. I am a APA 3- 4, but tonight I was beating 5, and 6's regularily. I was goning to save and buy a Predator but not now. I am happy. The only issue was that the tip popped off the first night. I contacted Customer support and they gave me a credit to repair the tip immediately. So I would say 4.5 stars out of 5.

I actually have that exact cue. I would suggest the 12.4 revo as it’s closer to the 12.4 JF. You will enjoy it and should notice no difference except for the revo pinging sound cause it’s hollow. But if sound doesn’t bother you then you will enjoy it.

@kenroberts71
@kenroberts71 Жыл бұрын
They have $320 models that come with the same cf shaft. That is less than it costs for a single predator shaft. Not sure how you can say "high prices". The prices only rise based on the work on the forearm/butt of the cue. JF prices are rediculously low for what you get. Not sure what more of a reputation you feel they need to build. You can't find a bad review of their cues. At least I have yet to see one.
@JohnJohnson-zq9rg

Well then you are lucky they sent you a cue that exactly weight as ordered. I got one that was completely out of balance very butt heavy and not the weight I ordered. I ordered 19 ounce got 19.2 ounce. But with a butt heavy as 15.6 ounce which is way to much for a 19 ounce cue. So be warned when onderring at this company they will not solve the issue best you can get is get your money back, but then they do not want you anymore as customer. You have to accept the cue as is. If you are a serious player I advise stay away from this. They said to me their butts and shafts all have different weights and get combined to be roughly the weight you order. So If you are lucky the cue has good balance or very bad if you are not.

Again it’s just my opinion but one comes with a tip I find is horrible and needs to be changed which is an extra cost vs one that comes with a better tip I don’t need to spend money on changing. I've seen videos of pro players being asked what do they use for tips( like the ouschans, Brian from fx billiards, even Darren Appleton) they all used predator victory tips. My victory medium tip is fine for me. It's obviously not a horrible tip. It's the player....most pros can still run rings around a average player even with a horrible cue, nevermind the tip.

Different tip sizes and this comparison is a waste of time really, the sound is the only reason I didn't like Revo, I've played with a maple shaft for over 25 years and I didn't like the sound of the Revo, I went with Mezz ignite and the sound is similar to maple and maybe even a bit better. I don't think equally priced carbon fiber shafts are any different as far as playability. You will be fine with whatever you choose, it's not a decision you have to waste time thinking about. Try different shaft sizes and then you are good to go from there.
