The end monologue is why I think Boyle is a comedic, satirical genius. It's why comedy from the left will always trump the right. It's why the left points out all our inherent hypocrisy so beautifully. It's why the left criticises the left so sublimely.
@youareaspook58974 жыл бұрын
@Sean Moonshine the point is that a lot of the "left" disagree on what "left" is - whereas a the right agree on economics at least - people that believe themselves to be part of the "leftist" movement are very much moderate instead - Gun Control for example is a major topic of argument in the left, the further elft you go the less likely you are to agree with gun control - both MLs and Ancoms HATE the idea of gun control - one for the purpose of proletariat revolution and the other for the realities of their ideal anarchic society, however the moderate left loves gun control - whereas the almost noone to the right of centre wants gun control
@bjarnebratsberg47244 жыл бұрын
I don't care about left or right, Frankie is so spot on when it comes to reality in this monologue, in the end nothing really matters. He knows how meaningless everything is, yet still makes us laugh at the inevitable pointlessness of existence. His general existence gives value through his observations, and we can all learn from it, what we choose to do by learning is up to the perceiver, we can be a shitty version of ourselves or try to become the best version of our potential. If everyone tried to become the latter, maybe the future wouldn't be as grim as foretold by the prophet F.Boyle
