Hey Ankle, I’ve been watching your content since about 2015 when I first started playing League, and wanted you to know that it’s not necessarily the content that’s kept me around over the years, but rather who you are as person. I need to thank you for all laughs, all the trademarked Ankle phrases, bed time stories (i.e. falling asleep to your videos), and all the time you’ve put into your channel for me and many, many others. This video cut close to the bone for me because about 3 years ago, my wife sadly passed away from a glioblastoma (an aggressive brain cancer) about 11 months after her initial diagnosis. She was only 28 years old and our daughter was only 14 months old when she passed. Needless to say, my life plummeted at terminal velocity into a bottomless black abyss of absolute hell. I’ve had a lot of time to think about my experiences and I don’t know why really really shitty things like this happen that break our hearts into an infinite amount of pieces, but ultimately I chose to keep moving forward and to keep trying to be a good dude. And I wanted to encourage you to do the same - no timeline, no pressure, just put one foot in front of the other. Because unbeknownst to you, your videos - and more specifically you - were a light in some of my darkest hours. I could escape reality momentarily, feel a familiar comfort, and just enjoy having a good time and laugh when everything else sucked. And I know there are many others who can relate to that. You don’t have to be anywhere near 100%, none of us are - you just can’t quit being yourself because it’s you we show up for, big dog. Brother to brother, I love you man. Keep your head up, put one foot in front of the other, and don’t lose sight of who you are - GODDAMN ANKLESPANKIN, BROTHER. Thanks for all the good times and looking forward to all the good times ahead.
