An interesting fact - a developer under the nickname RiotUtora shared information on Reddit about Jhin's voice acting. Riots made two types of lines: taunts, emotions and others are heard by each player, but only Jin hears the lines when moving, attacking and returning. The latter are permeated with a chorus, and their idea is that Jhin hears himself that way. The music of the choir plays in his crazy mind. Opera reference, stage, performance and music cues are supported by the choir for a total frenzy atmosphere. All other remarks are heard by other players and they sound standard. This was done intentionally to create a contrast between what Jhin actually says and what he thinks to himself.

The horror of Jhin as a villain is how human he is. Among many gods and world ending treats Jhin is but a man with a gun, and that terrified the people so much they refused to believe he was human and called him a demon instead. The bastard is so good at his job and so in love with art, he willingly uses a mask that blinds one of his eyes and makes breathing difficult for the simple facts he thinks it is beautiful

"You have too many lines" is a reference to Tahm Kench. Tahm Kench before Jin was the champion with the most phrases 224 lines and it sounds ironic from the mouth of Jin, since he has 241 of them. Also the reference to Tahm Kench "How inelegant your words are. Surely a fool wrote your script" that the lines to Jin and Tahm Kench were written by the same person)

He never gets unmasked, but that keeps the mystery even more fun. From his short story we do know that he looks completely unremarkable, no mechanical limbs, either, that's just armor. In fact, he looks so normal that he hates his face and calls it "deformed", since he's so obsessed with asymmetry, which is also one of the reasons he wears the mask.

Even when Riot was asked what lines were not added to the game, they received an answer and examples of what was not included. They sound quite creepy and do not fit the rating of the game: "Rivers swell in spring. Insects return after rain. A corpse is thrown ashore.", "My first performance. Lovers whisper in the dark. Remove husband.", "Tattoo in the form of a black flower. The courtesan draws red lips. I extract her jaw."

Oh I main Jhin in the game! Thanks for reacting to this! But I recommend reacting to Skin Spotlight’s videos regarding voice lines. They show which lines are used when/towards whom. Also I recommend checking out Legends of Runeterra’s voice lines. Not only it gives more interactions to champions like Aurelion Sol and new lines to old champs like Soraka but also give insight on the regions of Runeterra and its residents ^^ Edit: My bad. An interesting phrase is "My dear countryman you remind me how little our culture has advanced". The first thought is that Gene was in Piltover and Noxus and for now, he already has something to compare with, seeing the progress of these states, deep down he wants to see his country just as developed. The second thought is that perhaps there is another meaning, other countries are constantly shedding blood, Ionia is different in this regard, this is a country where people try to maintain harmony without unnecessary cruelty.

I always felt that when an old school gamer sees Jhin, they instantly think of Sander Cohen from Bioshock. His thought process, voice tone, and urge to be heard through their art work that makes use of human corpses that they have killed.

Vincent Van Gogh was a post-impressionist artist that used bright vibrant colors with broad strokes and was often depicted as dramatic, impulsive and expressive in his art style... He wasn't successfully know until later after his death when it come to things commercially and he struggled with depression and poverty though out his life, he was not stable mentally at all. Due to lack of heath care and drinking often he would have psychotic episodes and become delusional at times. He later died from suicide... Maybe a little ironic that you asked about him

He's an artist, he's a serial killer, he's an actor and he's a virtuoso. He has no mechanical arm, it's just his stage clothes for when he will perform. The master and father is the same person, shen’s father that was Zed’s and Shen’s master. Zed, Shen and there master spent years to hunt down Jhin. The never was the same after thay saw his art. They did get Jhin and put him in prison but after the Noxian invaison someone let Jhin out and started to sponsor him to kill in Noxus. Jhin still kills the persons he wants. There is a Zed comic that tell this story on univers, the place were you can look at the map. I think it was made with Marvel’s help.

20:17-this is for Katarina.There is also a phrase to Garen "The always-enchanting tale of star-crossed lovers" - these phrases allude to the love relationship between Garen and Katarina. There are no official love stories about Garen and Katarina yet, except for hinting phrases in lol and ridicule from champions. Also in 2014, Riot was developing a fantasy film for adults dedicated to these two, but its development has been stopped for now and it is unlikely that we will see the final result.

There is a Zed comic that got published by Marvel which features Jhin. The ending is terrible but aside from that its a good read and it shows you a lot about Zed and Shens relationship. And the impact Jhin had on them. I would write more but I think you got the general idea of the character through the voicelines. A maniac obsessed with art who sees his murders as ultimative art pieces. Everyone else sees them as super disturbing shit that they never forget for a lifetime. Most who see those art pieces think a demon had to have done that because it looks so terrible. Zed and Shen hunt Jhin down, he gets imprisoned, he gets released to kill people for the local government and thats basically it. And here I am, saying im not going to write more while writing more. Huh.

Jhin is without a doubt my favorite and I have the luck of being a natural with his kit, and I must say that the most terrifying thing about how Jhin doesn't have any cybernetic enhancements and has an average look is that he is just so normal that he is realistic to the point that people like him actually exist, is that realism wich in my opinion makes him way more frightening than any demonic sword or void creature, those exist only in fiction while Jhin is just a sick man with a twisted sense of art.

That's exactly what I thought when I heard that there is a League of Legends series coming. Let Jhin be in it please. I hope he shows up in Season 2. He is by far my favourite character in all of gaming. The fact that he has this image of a cheering crowd when he kills, and this motivates him to continue killing, but in reality there is no one clapping. It's fascinating and terrifying. He is in this endless circle of "performing" and getting the applause for it, but only in his mind. And I might be wrong, but I heard that the pretty flowers and blooming, which we can see in Awaken and in his teaser, are only his imagination as well. The purple smoke explosions in Awaken are bloody and full of gory stuff in reality, he just sees them this way. If he takes off his mask, he looks like a normal person. That may be the most terrifying thing about him.
