Why 3" Inch piping diameter? After much research, calculations, testing, and development we found that based on the 4.0T engine's demands, 3" piping diameter is the largest piping diameter that can fit in order to optimize the vehicles performance. With smaller than 3" exhaust you end up choking off the 4.0T's Turbos not allowing enough exhaust flow.

We have a 2.5" system for the C7 3.0T: jhmotorsports.com/exhaust-jhm-2-5-performance-cat-back-for-c7-a6-a7-3-0t-2012-2014.html Otherwise with an S6 valance and custom downpipe adapters you could fit our 3" system on the 3.0T

It won't fit the valence (Quad vs dual tip unless your A6 is c7.6) and would need some adapters to fit the downpipes but it can be done

If you are just looking for an A6 specific system, we will be releasing a system for the C7 3.0Ts here shortly. Very limited rasp and no drone without having to use our baffled downpipes. Sounds really good.
